I can't describe exactly what image of the Gyldene Peace I had before my visit. But it certainly wasn't the way I imagined it. It was much better! Or, if I'm going to try to describe it, I thought it would be more like other old classic places. Maybe a little "stiffer" like The Prince, a little "older" like the Mill or maybe a little more "skinny" like Riche. But I was pleasantly surprised. It feels old, but in a real way. The staff is very professional but more relaxed than at some of the above mentioned restaurants. Our waitress was certainly burdus in a way that made me think of an old inn, but she wasn't rude and in some strange way it fit in!

The food was truly magical. The cabbage pudding. The one you! You have to take it! There were middle dishes served so me and my company took a few different ones and shared and to that we drank champagne and good wine.

When dinner was over we went down to the basement where there was live music and there we sat for a couple more hours and drank gone and talked to each other and the other nice guests.

A year after Filip Fasten took over Freden, we got there, after the menu change, to the horsd of the classic guest bid menu, we felt that it suited us better than great dishes of classic cut. We like the rethink Philip has, it now permeates the Peace.
