Fika & Wine opened its doors on Österlånggatan in the summer of 2019 and is housed in a legendary building where the iconic Magnus Ladulås restaurant opened in 1970. The spot has long been a meeting place for people to eat and drink, and with Fika & Wine they want to continue the story by combining the past with the present. Among the old brick vaults, they've created a slightly more modern concept with bistro furniture, leather sofas and green wooden panels, where craftsmanship, raw materials and community are at the heart of everything.
The menu consists of Swedish home-cooked and contemporary flavours and drinks options include Swedish wines, beer and snaps. You can also stop by for a coffee break in the middle of the Old Town. Groups who want to sit separately can book Fika & Wine's chambre séparée in a brick vault from the 16th century. A selection of hot and cold dishes, coffee, champagne and other drinks are served. The private dining room has space for up to 50 seated people and 60 people for mingling.

Been here several times now and love this café. So good vanilla buns and the carrot cake is amazing! Cozy outdoor seating. Several wines by the glass. Also serves semlor and saffron buns all year round! I think it's worth a 5.

I've been looking for a cozy café in the Old Town for a long time, finally found! Got a hot chocolate and an actually very good non dry saffron bun, which is unusual. Super cozy café! It's great that it's a Swiss and that you can have a glass of wine if you feel like it.
There are also saffron buns that are served as semla. Will definitely come back when I'm in the old town in the future.

To be really honest, I loved the old place so much better as it was tiny, cramped and busy, but had its own charm. I am happy to see the growth and that they seemingly needed bigger space for their growth, but I do believe that it has lots its charm :/
