Grodan, which first opened its doors in 1985 on Grev Turegatan, is a true Stockholm institution. You can now find their sister restaurant in historic premises at the Royal Opera House, in rooms that have played host to poets, artists and writers since the 1800s.

High vaulted ceilings, gilded columns, stucco, velvet chairs, white tablecloths and red carpets set the tone. Grodan's menu is as classic as the surroundings and consists of Swedish and French flavours with well-known dishes that have retained their place on the menu for many years. One of them is Grodan's famous fish stew, which is always on the menu.
Grodan has grown alongside their guests since the first restaurant opened in 1985, and today it's a true institution on the Stockholm restaurant scene. Their restaurant in the opera house works as well for business lunches as for long intimate lunches or dinners with friends or family.
