Restaurang Agaton has been at this address in the heart of the Old Town since 1999. The warm, friendly restaurant is inspired by European culinary traditions, particularly traditional Italian cuisine. Take a seat at one of the tables, with their red and white-checked tablecloths and rustic candles, and enjoy a cosy Italian meal.
A selection of daily lunch specials based on traditional Swedish homecooking is served every day, while an à la carte menu, with classic Italian dishes such as homemade pasta, fish and meat dishes and risotto, is served in the evenings. Naturally, Agaton also serves pizzas, made from 00 flour and San Marzano tomatoes, just like in Italy. Don't forget to round off your meal with a glass of grappa.

Show full »

The location is great and the old town was very good. Classic Italian dishes, the flavors sit as they should. Service ok. No place I salute but neither dissar directly. it is what it is

But where did the service go? None of the staff were interested in what we thought about the foo... Show full »

Earlier this week, it became a spontaneous restaurant visit to Agaton in the old town. We were attracted by an inviting menu board with reasonable prices and a typical still decorated Italian style. The large part of the menu was of course from Italian cuisine but despite with great variety. I chose... Show full »

Have only eaten lunch here on two occasions and will probably not go back a third time.

Disaster! Got the wrong main course three times. When it then came in again, it was wrong again.... my company had then already eaten up. Also had to wait for ages to pay the misery! Blue! No nice staff.

We were two people who to "starter" had to share on three dry edges with garlic bread. The main course, sirloin with red wine sauce and BEA, must be the worst piece I have ever received! Full of tendons and completely tasteless. It was on a brown mourn that would well imagine red wine sauc... Show full »

Den sämsta skitrestaurangen som jag någonsin har varit på det började med att vi fick förrätter och vitlöksbröd som vi inte hade beställt och där vårt sällskap på 11-12 personer fick dela på tre talrikar, när vi sedan sk... Show full »
