Nischade restauranger kan ibland bli lite påtvingat ändå va? Men inte här hos familjen Montanari! Det kändes så genuint och alla var otroligt trevliga!

I visited Trattoria Montanari for the third time and was at least as pleased - if not even more satisfied - as previous times. Previously, I have been in their back pocket, Piccolon. Then we enjoyed a dinner and a weekend lunch in a quiet and cozy environment. This time we sat in the main dining room, Trattorian. It was incredibly busy and lovely, a bit messy in a lovely way. Tillbaka igen. För ett år sen var vi här och tyckte det var ganska uselt, idag är det bättre men det blir inte mycket bättre än helt okej. Det är inget fel på maten, den är god men heller inget speciellt. Vill man äta italienskt och slippa gå hem och laga mat så är det perfekt. Mysigt är det iallafall, och servicen är italiensk. Would not recommend this 'genuine' Italian restaurant - we ordered Spaghetti alle Vongole and Bigoli al limone con frutti di mare. First surprised by the small size of the Bigoli portion, then the taste - no sign of either lemon, chili and garlic. The same result with the Vongole pasta, here it was no taste at all, furthermore half of the scallops wasn´t opened and we didn't want to take the risk to eat them. Notified this to the waiter which said she will inform the chef. No discount or refund or anything to compensate for that. Pricey menu and so busy at lunch and sooo crowded in between the tables that one couldn't move out from the sofa without hitting the items on the table or bumping into the other guests.

Det tog rätt lång tid innan dem bytte till den nuvarande menyn, och min favorit tortellini(fylld med päron och talleggio) blev tyvär bortplockad.
