Danyel Couet's French restaurant is inspired by his own French grandmother, and it provides a taste of French family dinners in Paris. Alongside the open kitchen you'll find the "Kitchen table", where you can sit separately and share a special set menu.

The Bockholmen group, which runs several popular Stockholm restaurants such as Österlånggatan 17, Italienskatan and Nybrogatan 38, also runs Hornsgatan's Kvarterskrog, and they believe a chambre separée is an everyday luxury that's perfect for extra special occasions. Gather your friends, family or colleagues together at Trattoria Villa Romana for an authentic Italian slap-up meal. They're passionate about Italian craftsmanship and make everything from the pasta to the tiramisu from scratch. Sit separately in the private dining room, where they serve a specially composed traditional Italian menu, perfect for larger groups. 

Noi is a must-go restaurant for anyone who really appreciates elegance and luxury. The highly desirable menu includes Continental dishes made from the very best seasonal ingredients. 

Not far from the city centre, but with a distinct feel of the archipelago, Bockholmen has several rooms in which you can eat separately. The picturesque house - a 19th century yellow-painted villa - is also joined by an atmospheric glasshouse on the jetty which has space for around 30 seated guests. Medium-sized groups can settle down in one of the two rooms on the upper floor with space for 8 and 24 people respectively. When December approaches, you can also book Bockholmen's famous Christmas buffet.

At Restaurant Torsgatan in the Bonnierhuset building, it's all about good food, made from scratch using carefully selected ingredients. They also offer stylish venues for various types of groups, from their private dining room that accommodates 14 people to the beautiful book café that holds 35 people. There's also the option to hire the entire venue for up to 150 people.

APO serves food and drink with influences from all over Asia, fused together into unique flavour combinations. With a knack for parties (it is part of the Supper family, after all), they're happy to help with everything from private dinners and birthday parties to conferences and other events. Historic Stadshuskällaren has two different chambres séparées - a larger dining room for up to 100 people, and a smaller one for up to 14 guests. Back in the 1800s, Restaurant Reiss used to serve classic smörgåsbord, salmon with mayonnaise and similar dishes, and it's a style the restaurant continues to uphold. Tradition is cherished here, and classic Swedish dishes are served with a modern twist. If you want to celebrate something, or just enjoy a meal in peace with your party, you can book Salong Brahe, inside the stern of an old steamboat they've embedded in the room. They also have another room, Per Brahe, which is slightly smaller.

Sofia Common serves their own interpretations of favourite Mexican dishes, preferably paired with beers and cocktails. On the ground level, the interiors are in muted colors with brass details, while downstairs the vibe is a little crazier. Here, larger groups can sit down for dinner in slightly cheeky surroundings which often inspire spontaneous performances on the small stage next to the tables.

Skörden by Chefs Camp in Södermalm is a meeting place and local bistro with four different areas: Orangeriet, Matbaren, Framfickan, and Studion. The latter, Studion, is the space you can rent. There is also a private dining room for around ten people where you sit completely separately from the rest of the restaurant. The menus range from global flavours to seasonal dishes.

This popular neighbourhood restaurant in the Old Town has a chambre séparée, the Stenbeck room, where guests are served a set menu including the very best food and drink Österlånggatan 17 has to offer. A speaker system is included and food and drinks are served through a hatch so as not to interrupt your party. You can also book the karaoke bar for a lively party night and if you're a bigger group you can hire out the entire top floor. 
 

Vår Pizza serves popular gourmet pizzas in Aspudden, but it's easy to miss that they also have a cosy basement venue that can be booked for events such as social gatherings, parties, meetings, and movie nights. The space can accommodate 30-50 seated guests with access to a projector and screen.

Stortorgskällaren's function rooms are downstairs in the restaurant's historic premises on Stortorget in the Old Town. The charming space with its 16th century cellar vaults is perfect for various kinds of events and can be adapted for small or slightly larger groups. Book Noorm's upper floor and enjoy the lively atmosphere in a more secluded setting. Chefs prepare a fabulous feast with international flair, which can be combined with a refreshing drink from the bar. Cocktails, wine, beer, or non-alcoholic? The drinks menu offers something to suit all tastes.

At the Continental rooftop bar Capital right in the heart of the city, there's a private dining room appropriately named The View. Enjoy panoramic views of the city while tucking into food and drinks with an international touch.

This ambitious meat restaurant near Stureplan has everything you could possibly need for large, hungry groups (including vegetarians). There are several chambres séparées in various sizes, including one right by the dining room and kitchen. Down in the basement you'll also find Brunnsgatan 8, a new concept providing modern, industrial-style spaces suitable for everything from intimate dinners to large parties.

A little like a living room - that's how the northern Swedish restaurant Knut, in the city centre, describes itself. The bar, with decor inspired by the Swedish mountains, has a separate room for anyone wishing to organise a corporate function, family gathering or perhaps hold a breakfast meeting in quiet, peaceful surroundings.

Enoteca Cucina Italiana in Sibirien has a separate floor that can be hired for up to around 45 people. You can organise everything from post-work drinks to a birthday celebration here. You can also hire a smaller part of the venue if you don't need all of it. 

Hernö Gin Bar serves ambitious gin cocktails and small plates in historic premises close to Slussen. The lower ground floor houses their living room area, which can be booked as a chambre séparée with tables and sofa groups. Gin and cocktail tastings take place here, and they food and drink is served in the same way as in the restaurant upstairs.

As you might have guessed, you can enjoy bowling and darts at Birka Bowling & Dart, as well as billiards and board games. You can also eat and drink, and arrange private parties and events. If you and your party want to enjoy a certain amount of privacy they have a glassed-in VIP lounge. The lounge has three bowling lanes (where you can disco-bowl), play music via Spotify and tuck into a well-filled drinks fridge.
