As you might have guessed, you can enjoy bowling and darts at Birka Bowling & Dart, as well as billiards and board games. You can also eat and drink, and arrange private parties and events. If you and your party want to enjoy a certain amount of privacy they have a glassed-in VIP lounge. The lounge has three bowling lanes (where you can disco-bowl), play music via Spotify and tuck into a well-filled drinks fridge. Behind the French bistro and wine bar Kasten are restaurateurs Jim & Jacob. They serve elegant yet rustic bistro dishes and selected wines near Karlaplan. For groups wanting a bit more privacy, Kasten has private dining rooms with space for up to 28 people.

Italian Un Poco is an Östermalm favourite, with dishes such as truffle-stewed macaroni and dry-agedsteak. You can enjoy a tasting menu in the restaurant's private dining room, with antipasti, primi and secondi, enhanced with pairing wines. They also have a bar area that can be booked for 2-8 people. 

Classic restaurant Grodan on Grev Turegatan has several cosy private dining rooms with wallpaper and paintings for groups who want to sit privately. Copine, sister restaurant to the former Jim & Jacob, offers Southern European flavours in sophisticated surroundings in Östermalm. Elegant Villa Dagmar offers several different private dining rooms suitable for all kinds of meals that require a little extra touch – whether it's a birthday celebration, a launch event or a corporate lunch. The largest is Karamellfabriken, which accommodates 50 people, while the slightly smaller room Bergsten allows up to 20 guests to enjoy the view of the beautiful courtyard.

Restaurateur Jonas Svensson is at the helm of India's, a modern Indian restaurant at the Elite Hotel Stockholm Plaza. Star chef Björn Frantzén's elegant brasserie in Östermalm attracts lunch, dinner and drinks guests at almost all times of the day. The menu is French-inspired but has influences from many parts of the world, so you're almost guaranteed to find something to suit all tastes. For a group of friends, a birthday party, or a business dinner of up to 10 people, they serve private dinners where you can either pre-order a set menu or choose freely from the à la carte.

The French neighbourhood restaurant Napolyon on Grev Turegatan is a popular spot with a private dining room on the upper floor. There's space for 12-30 dinner guests to sit and eat separately. As you would expect, the menu is French and composed in consultation with the restaurant.

In the old architectural school building in Östermalm, now known as the A-house, is Omaka's restaurant and brewery. New flavour combinations are constantly being created by the glass and on tap, bringing together both after-work patrons and dinner guests. Gather your friends, family or colleagues together at Trattoria Villa Romana for an authentic Italian slap-up meal. They're passionate about Italian craftsmanship and make everything from the pasta and risotto to the tiramisu from scratch. Sit separately in the private dining room, where they serve a specially composed traditional Italian menu, perfect for larger groups. 

Historic Stadshuskällaren has two different chambres séparées - a larger dining room for up to 100 people, and a smaller one for 8-14 guests. You can arrange everything from breakfast meetings to lunch events, parties and intimate dinners. If you want to add an extra special touch to your evening, you can order a Nobel banquet menu, from any year from 1901 onwards. You can also book the dining room, which has room for 70 people.

At Chez Kny, you not only get your own room but also the entire bistro exclusively to yourselves. You'll be served a tailored menu made from seasonal ingredients over the course of the evening, alongside drinks selected by the restaurant's sommelier. Sturdy wooden tables, black-and-white decor and chequered floors create a cosy and relaxed atmosphere.

Mormors Pasta specialises in creating authentic and delicious pasta that can be enjoyed on-site in the restaurant or taken home from the delicatessen. If you want to sit privately and enjoy all the goodness – at breakfast, lunch or dinner – there's a room that accommodates up to 16 people.

This popular neighbourhood restaurant in the Old Town has a chambre séparée, the Stenbeck room, where guests are served a set menu including the very best food and drink Österlånggatan 17 has to offer. A speaker system is included and food and drinks are served through a hatch so as not to interrupt your party. In a historic building dating back to the 15th century, Tre Valv has cellar vaults that can be reserved for both small and large events. Either as two smaller vaults for 30 people each, or as the whole cellar for up to 60 people. You can order canapés, three-course menus or an entire Italian buffet.

Italian restaurant Michelangelo in the Old Town features two cellar vaults that can be booked for parties and dinners with pasta, pizza, risotto, charcuterie, and other Italian delicacies. For larger bookings, they serve a delightful buffet rather than the à la carte menu. During the Christmas season, they serve a festive Christmas buffet in the premises, perfect for groups of friends, companies, and large families wanting to celebrate Christmas together.

Back in the 1800s, Restaurant Reisen used to serve classic smörgåsbord, salmon with mayonnaise and similar dishes, and it's a style the restaurant continues to uphold. Tradition is cherished here, and classic Swedish dishes are served with a modern twist. If you want to celebrate something, or just enjoy a meal in peace with your party, you can book Salong Brahe, inside the stern of an old steamboat they've embedded in the room. Sunny flavours from Tel Aviv, Naples, Santa Fe and Oaxaca are the order of the day at this restaurant in Slakthusområdet, Stockholm's former meatpacking district, from renowned chef duo Adam and Albin. There's a private dining room for intimate celebratory dinners where you can enjoy small plates, grilled dishes and pizza in social surroundings that revolve around a passion for food and culture. 

In a beautiful position out on the island of Värmdö, the art gallery and cultural centre Artipelag provides excellent food as well as art exhibitions. Vår Pizza serves popular gourmet pizzas in Aspudden, but it's easy to miss that they also have a cosy basement venue that can be booked for events such as social gatherings, parties, meetings, and movie nights. The space can accommodate 30-50 seated guests with access to a projector and screen.
