Jag gillar korv och hoppades verkligen att det hade kommit ett komplement till Günters, Östermalms Krovspecialist och de ungerska korvarna på Hötorget men jag kände inte att Dogfood levde upp till den nivån. Ev. hade jag för höga förväntningar eller så hade personalen inte blivit varma i kläderna, för jag var där första veckan efter de öppnade.

Maten var förvisst god men inget speciellt. Restaurangen känns också ganska ”1.0” i allt från baren, inredning och menyn.

Jag kommer nog pröva igen men det var inget som verkligen drar mig dit.

Den här recensionen är inte fullständig än då vi, tro det eller ej, inte åt någon korv! Men, det var deras chicken sandwich jag främst kom hit för denna gång.

Deras nyöppnade lokal precis ligger precis intill deras andra ställe Lådan och är liten, intim och trevlig. Ambitiösa cocktails med spritdrycker från lokala destillerier är deras nya satsning.

Menyn består som förut av korvar, kycklingvingar, chicken sandwich och även några vegetariska alternativ. Vi beställde buffalo wings som serverades med picklad selleri och blue cheese-dressing till att börja med som var väldigt goda! Perfekt hetta som bröts av bra av syran från sellerin och krämigheten från dressingen.

Sedan tog vi in varsin chicken sandwich som jag velat testat länge och var väldigt taggad för. Tyvärr blev jag besviken. Den var klart godkänd, men för det första var den väldigt liten och inte värd de 150 kronorna jag betalade för den. Brödet var samma hamburgerbröd de använder till sina hamburgare på deras andra ställe Flippin' Burgers. På alla bilder jag sett på mackan tidigare har brödet bestått av två tjocka skivor av ett typ formbröd som såg mycket godare ut. En i mitt sällskap som ätit den innan de bytte bröd vad den både mycket större och godare då. Pommesen vi beställde på sidan (65 kr) var en liten portion mjuka pommes som smakade mest olja.

Dogfood får helt klart godkänt denna gång, men var ändå en besvikelse då jag hade höga förväntningar och var inte riktigt värt pengarna vi betalade. Det var ändå en god och trevlig middag och kanske kan korvarna bättra på betyget nästa gång jag är här!
