Three years - that's how long it took for the team behind Pom Friterie to perfect the recipe for their fresh, organic, hand-cut French fries. You can enjoy the result of their experimentation at their restaurant on the corner of Regeringsgatan and Lästmakargatan. The restaurant is inspired by Dutch street food and takes culinary influences from all over the world.
The aim of Friterie is to elevate the humble fried potato to new heights, along with flavours from all over the world. Inspiration comes from Dutch street food and the menu is based around their organic hand-cut French fries which have been perfected over several years. In addition to fries topped with various sauces and toppings, they serve snacks, sides, dip sauces and desserts. There are also plenty of options if you're vegetarian or vegan.
Marvin Romein, previously head bartender at restaurants such as Kåken and L'Avventura, and Jorit Gras, who has been a head chef at Bockholmen group restaurants and has a background in design, run the show and Jorit's design background is reflected in the restaurant's interiors. Billowing curtains, pale wood chairs, plexi and neon lights set the tone and create an atmosphere that's ideal for lunch, dinner or simply cocktails and snacks.
