Restaurant Persona is a restaurant on Torstenssonsgatan 11, Östermalm in Stockholm.

Got to hear about Persona's "Bespoke" concept, which is an incredible à la carte experience, where you get to be presented with what ingredients they have, and then you get to choose whether you want a starter or a main course, and how you want it cooked. That is, if you want the steak, for example, you can say that you want it as an appetizer, a little fresh and in Asian style – or if you want it as a main course, rich, with cream sauce, etc. So you compose your own dinner together with the chef. Absolutely fucking incredible concept, I must say.

I'm a little tired of starred restaurants – 10 dishes, where you hardly understand what you're eating, innovation takes precedence over taste, you sit for 5 hours and then you pay 3000 SEK just for the food. The dishes you think are fantastic are eaten in two bites, because all the dishes are so small because you eat so many. Often you don't get full in the end either.

I was a little worried that the dishes would be a little small here too, they often are in finer restaurants even on à la carte. So me and my wife shared 1 starter and 3 main courses (plus we had the snacks before). It was actually TOO much. Finally stuffed at a luxury restaurant. So nice. A starter and a main course each, which they recommended, would have been enough. The whole dinner took 2.5 hours, perfect.

We had halibut, tuna, angus steak and wagyu steak. All absolutely incredible. The only thing I have to complain about on the whole visit was really that the bread service was a bit boring, it's usually better at this type of restaurant. However, I've been here for a wedding dinner once before, and then the bread service was kind of the best of the whole evening, so we probably just had a little bad luck this time.

We were so full, and needed to go home to the kids, so we skipped dessert. Then we got a pastry made of croissant dough with cardamom bun as content (see picture), which we ate for breakfast the next day. Wrong.

The dishes that we were going to share they split up and served as two courses. The service through and through top-notch. As far from stiff and pretentious as you can get.

The place itself is very nice. Incredibly tastefully decorated and with a lot of exciting art to rest your eyes on (which they are happy to tell you about too).

Of course 300-500 for starters and 500-800 for main courses are high prices, but I would say that it is hugely affordable, and I really hope that they can spin the concept around. In addition, they refill the glasses fresh (feels like you get 50% more drink than you pay for). They have removed it so you can neither read about it nor book through the website anymore, so now you have to know about it, and then contact. I think it's meant mostly for regulars in the future (which I now have to be), but ask nicely and maybe it will work.

Birthday dinner yesterday at Restaurant Persona. Tasting menu with several pre-snacks and great food and drink throughout the evening. Started with a nice hangout in armchairs in the lounge area with several small snacks. All supervised by one of the guests' dog. 😄 Dinner was then at the bar in...

I've wanted to go here for a long time and was so excited about this small fine restaurant that I've heard so much about and which is supposed to be "fine dining" in a relaxed environment. And I agree.
Nice and nicely decorated with a nice atmosphere, welcoming and committed...

Fantastic experience. A set menu with flavours turned up to high volume with amazing raw ingredients accompanied by an unbelievable selection of wines, some of which are served by the glass.
The dinner started in the back with a few snacks, after which we were led downstairs to discover the wine...

I forgot the photographs as I was too busy enjoying myself, so this review will only be in writing. Well! There's no mistaking that both Louis and Jonathan really love food and wine. You get a genuine reception and when I mention my previous disastrous experiences with wine packages, I am quick...

Persona opened just a few weeks ago in a stunning, completely renovated and re-designed space. It was started by ambitious founders. Louis is an award wining chef and Jonathan is an up and coming star in the hospitality industry, both have worked before at Frantzen and Adam&Albin. As you can exp...
