New restaurants in Stockholm

Juno is Brasseriegruppen's new restaurant on Fridhemsplan. They invite you to enjoy food and drink are inspired by the Mediterranean. History, romance, and delicious spices from countries around the Med will be given their own particular twist.​​​​​​​

Matateljén, which used to be in Gamla Enskede, will reopen in Slakthusområdet, Stockholm's former meatpacking district, in May 2025. Owners Anna Klyvare and Henrik Sauer focus on playful food and quality ingredients at both lunch and dinner.

The same trio who founded Take Ramen in Vasastan is behind this Japanese izakaya in Hornstull. Enkai serves homemade ramen and skewers for both lunch and dinner.

Pascal already has three other locations in Stockholm, and will open in Hagastaden in early 2025. Unique to this new establishment is that it not only houses a café, but also its very own coffee roastery. In other words, guests will be able to enjoy freshly roasted coffee – which can also be purchased to take home.

Creating the world's best schnitzel – that's the ambition at Dersch (the name is an abbreviation of “Der Schnitzel”). The restaurant is run by Roy Nader, who has been a contestant on Sweden's Masterchef, alongside Ninos Afram and Richard Lahdo from BAP. Inspiration comes from a trip around the world sampling schnitzels.

The popular ramen spot Sin Ramen is getting a sister restaurant in the culinary Slakthusområdet, the former meatpacking district. At Sin Slaughterhouse, located just behind Solen, the focus is on “kikanbo ramen” – that is, ramen that aims to stimulate all five senses.

Deglabbet opens its fourth and largest restaurant to date on Birger Jarlsgatan, in the former premises of La Madrina. The team, who are passionate about pizza, continues to experiment to create the perfect dough, topped with both traditional ingredients and some more ingenious elements. There is also a separate room for private pizza parties.

Next to Bistro Arsenalen is this food and wine bar with a similar name: Bar Arsenalen.

Swedish Masterchef participants Hedvig Henrekson and Zacharias Lindqvist Hansson have teamed up to create a new destination for Stockholm's sandwich enthusiasts. At Dubbla Deli, in Hötorgshallen indoor food market, it's all about hearty sandwiches with influences from both Italy and America.

This will be Chicce's third establishment after two previous ones in Örebro, where the first opened in 2022. Chicce (pronounced “kitche”) aims to create a living room atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. The menu consists of Italian delicacies that can be enjoyed from morning to night.

Jakobsberg will gain a new meeting place and entertainment destination with Lux Dining. Lunch, dinner, and a nightclub all under one roof, along with a variety of themed evenings with dancing, stand-up, quizzes, and dinner clubs. 

You can visit Mormors Pasta in Lindhagen to enjoy handmade pasta, Asian noodles, and dumplings, take part in events such as pasta classes and wine tasting, or simply to have a nice glass of wine and take home some delicacies. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the option to book catering, this is a place with many strings to its bow.

A modern and lively bistro with a varied and playful menu, as well as plenty of wine, is promised when Amalia opens its doors on Regeringsgatan in the heart of the city.

Celebrity baker Camilla Hamid, also known as My Kitchen Stories, is opening her third café in Stockholm this October – this time outside the city centre. The address is Westfield Mall of Scandinavia in Solna, where shoppers will be able to enjoy classic pastries with a twist.

Nopo 1988 focuses on authentic dishes from Korea, with a particular emphasis on street food. The menu includes items such as tteokbokki, kimbap and bulgogi rice bowls. Get here easily by taking the train to Tekniska Högskolan station.

The owners behind the former restaurant A Bowl & Plates have moved on. In October 2024, they're opening their new restaurant, Kanon, in Södermalm, more specifically on Tjärhovsplan.

Toujours is a French-inspired bistro run by Tommy Myllymäki, Pi Le and Johan von Euler. The menu is short and classic, focusing on well-prepared food and French wines. With elements of truffle, caviar, oysters and champagne, the trio behind Toujours aim to celebrate French and Nordic gastronomy. The restaurant can be found in the NK department store.

Restaurant Panza is Elite Palace Hotel's latest addition. Their aim is to take guests on an authentic culinary journey to Italy, with well-prepared dishes served at lunch and dinner, as well as delicious aperitivos.

Tako used to be on Birger Jarlsgatan but as of October 2024 onwards, the restaurant can be found on the corner of Grev Turegatan/Birger Jarlsgatan. Guests are treated to an elegant, Asian concept that's reflected in everything from the interiors to the food and drinks. The new restaurant also houses a private dining room with its own entrance on Birger Jarlsgatan .Booking opened in September.

Capannone Bottega is opening its doors right next door to its sister restaurant Capannone on Roslagsgatan. The focus here is on wine and charcuterie, with flavours inspired by Italy. They also offer a private dining room and outdoor seating.

A new taqueria from Jose Manuel Cruz Martines is opening in the heart of Stockholm city. At MXCO, authentic flavours from Mexico City are the order of the day. 

When Marievik's summer oasis Plåtparken bids farewell to the season, Plåtpalatset emerges inside Modehuset. Initially, it's all about lunch made with local ingredients, but it may well be open for even more festive elements and events in the future.

Sandwich shop Il Merlo is run by Södermalm profile Andreas Bjunér, together with Elin Ungman. They'll be serving sandwiches as well as an Italian larder store on Wollmar Yxkullsgatan.

The festive summer hangout Mälarpaviljongen has gained a new addition! The former The Green Queen has been transformed into an elegant bar and bistro with fun events happening regularly.

Skörden by Chefs Camp will be a meeting place where a passion for food and career opportunities combine in a new concept. In addition to a neighbourhood restaurant, Skörden by Chefs Camp will also house a trainee programme, Chef's Camp, which aims to shape the chefs of the future. Everything from classic French bistro food, international home-style cooking, and well-prepared, affordable fast food for takeaway will be served.

This popular meat restaurant from Sickla opens up its doors in Old Town, featuring a dining room, deli, cocktail bar and wine bar. Enjoy grilled meat for lunch and dinner, buy meat and accompaniments to take home, sip cocktails and listen to DJs one floor up or indulge in selected wines.

In the premises that used to be home to Kagge, you'll now find Bistro Zissou, run by Kalle Lindborg and family. The restaurant is a little bistro full of French flavours and fragrances. 

Four floors up in the NK building is Akvileja, a salad bar by star chefs Tommy Myllymäki and Pi Le. Drawing inspiration from their travels around the world, the chefs have created a menu consisting of rustic salads, sandwiches, and pastries.

German Beer Hall is opening its first branch in Stockholm in premises that used to house Texas Longhorn. Oktoberfest is the theme all year round here, with rustic German food, staff dressed in traditional costumes and lederhosen - and, of course, plenty of German beer.

At the Stureplansgruppens' new restaurant in Stockholm city centre, you can drop in for a relaxed lunch, afterwork, or celebratory meal. The focus is on pasta, pizza, and other classic dishes from various regions of Italy, occasionally given the chefs' own little twist. Drinks-wise, the focus is on Italian wines and aperitifs. 

Rara Restaurant is named after the lake of the same name in the Himalayas. Rara specialises in Indo-Chinese fusion, such as dumplings, noodle soups, and small dishes. Initially, it will only be open for lunch and will later expand its offerings to include a bar and dinner.

The Diplomat and Villa Dagmar hotels have welcomed a new townhouse-like sister hotel right next to Tegnérlunden, namely the boutique hotel Villa Dahlia. With a restaurant at street level and a rooftop bar on the top floor, Villa Dahlia is an elegant and relaxed meeting place for both hotel guests and locals.

What was previously a private residence for Wilhelmina Skogh, then CEO of the Grand Hôtel, now takes the form of a well-planned hotel and conference facility. Villa Foresta is located in Lidingö, and in addition to approximately a hundred hotel rooms, around ten conference rooms and several restaurants, the premises will also eventually include a spa.

The team behind Bageri Ingrid has taken over the cafe's next-door premises and opened a bar. Drinks-wise, they focus on wine, beer and cocktails, and the food menu includes snacks, small dishes and a couple of desserts. Naturally, freshly baked buns from their sister bakery are also available.

Sweden's largest indoor go-kart track, a large restaurant, and a modern conference facility. That's what you can expect at O'Learys Racehall Tumba, attracting both professionals and amateurs. The restaurant will offer American flavours and a view overlooking the entire go-kart track.

Pub chain John Scott's is taking over the famous premises in Kungsträdgården that used to be home to TGI Fridays. John Scott's was founded on Avenyn in Gothenburg and now has branches both in Sweden and abroad. The goal here is to offer a second living room with a genuinely British pub feel.

Lu, which has been both well-established and award-winning restaurant in Malmö for several years, has set its sights on Nytorget. It's run by a mother and son who want to welcome guests to an authentic Chinese family feast with Cantonese flavours and street food from Hong Kong.

Just a few minutes' walk from Central station, this Greek restaurant has an extensive menu that has dishes to suit all preferences. The kitchen is run by Greek chef Alexander, who has brought traditional recipes and his passion for cooking to Stockholm.

This fine dining restaurant Ergo has moved into the Östermalm premises that previously housed Michelin-starred restaurant Gastrologik, and the aim here is also to achieve star status. Head chef Petter Johansson has worked at three-star Frantzén in Stockholm, Per Se in New York, and Gordon Ramsay in London.

Le Bon Canon is a newly opened restaurant on Scheelegatan in Kungsholmen. There's a strong focus on wine here and they occasionally hold wine tastings. The menu includes everything from steak tartare and Toast Skagen to corn-fed chicken and fillet of beef. Larger groups can book the restaurant's private dining room.

ChouChou's branch in the MOOD shopping galleria has been a popular spot with Stockholm's vegans for a while, and in the spring of 2024 the green oasis will grow shoots in both Kungsholmen and Östermalm. This branch on the ground floor of the DN skyscraper is a classic neighbourhood restaurant with buffet lunch, brunch and à la carte menu. They'll also serve coffee and cakes and pastries. The Fältoversten outpost is a trendy neighbourhood restaurant and bistro with a lunch buffet, brunch, post-work drinks, à la carte, coffee and deli. Flavour-wise, a combination of Swedish homecooking and European influences is the order of the day.

Together with a group of well-known food and drink creators, chef duo Douglas Fagerman and Ruben Blomdahl have created their version of a neighbourhood restaurant. At Ruben Restaurang, the focus is on 'global fusion' – dishes inspired by the chefs' travels around the world – and the drinks list includes cocktails, wine, and beer. The aim is for the restaurant to be an friendly meeting place where everyone is welcome to relax. In February 2024, the duo also opened the trio of restaurants Uva, Aristo, and Cuculo.

Tapas restaurant La Esquina is on Drottninggatan and is run by the team behind the eateries La Tonteria and Tutto Bello. Here, every dish is a tribute to Spanish culture and Spain's culinary traditions, served in the form of tapas in the evening and lunch during the day.

Pink-hued Dirty Coco, which also has a branch on Drottninggatan, is opening a new outlet on Fridhemsplan this spring. Go for a fika with sweet desserts, lunch, or brunch, all highly Instagrammable.

Trattorian is opening this summer restaurant, which will offer cocktails and cosy dinners with flavours from the Italian coast.

Märtha Restobar & Terrace is at Söder Mälarstrand Kajplats 16. On the historic boat S/S Kronprinsesse Märtha, this rooftop bar offers a delightful atmosphere and views, as well as live music and grilled delicacies.

Located on Österlånggatan in the Old Town, Bar Talea is a wine and champagne bar that also specialises in dishes with influences from Southern Europe. The wine selection is carefully curated from well respected vineyards and producers.

On Skeppsbron in the Old Town, Karamell invites you to enjoy a world of flavours from the Mediterranean, as well as cocktails at the bar. They aim to be a place for social gatherings and memorable evenings.

Restaurant Art has become well known for its colourful, art-filled environment. In the spring of 2024, they open the doors to a new restaurant in Hagastaden, close to the gallery quarter.

Popular Främmat in Vasastan has been attracting people from all over Stockholm to their small basement restaurant on Dalagatan since opening in 2020. The happy gang have now established themselves on Södermalm too, on Ringvägen 110. Southern European flavours and Swedish produce take centre stage, with many of the dishes cooked in the wood-fired oven. 

Taley, right next to Årstaviken in Skanstull, is an authentic Thai restaurant. Sit down at the large outdoor seating area and enjoy good food, drinks and live music during the warmer months of the year.

On the first floor of NK department store, the restaurateurs behind Jim&Jacob Restaurants have opened up the doors to Copine Café, a contemporary Southern European bistro that focuses on lunch consisting of classics from their other well-established restaurant Copine. At weekends they'll be serving a classic brunch - all with a taste of the Mediterranean.

Tokyo Ramen has had a branch in Hötorgshallen indoor food hall for some time, and as of the end of April 2024, it also has a sister restaurant on Kungsbron. The new location is also inspired by Tokyo, but has more seating and larger spaces. The menu is also larger, with the same focus on Japanese noodle soup.

This bistro has popped up just a stone's throw from its big brother Restaurant Marco's. Marco's Bar & Cafe is a place for spontaneous hangouts with pizza and something delicious to drink in casual surroundings. Come for lunch, post-work drinks or a late dinner, every day of the week.

Urban Deli in Hagastaden consists of two parts: an American-inspired deli with bagels, chopped salads, and croissants, and a large restaurant with the new concept Urban Diner. It's one of Stockholm's largest restaurants with a 16-metre-long bar counter, high ceilings, and food cooked over an open fire. The deli opened on 1 March, and the restaurant on 10 April.

Parken is run by Sweden's Masterchef winner, Christin Kashous, and influencer Penny Parnevik. You'll find it next to Ellen Keys park on Birger Jarlsgatan, hence the name.

Bar Schiacciate can already be found at several different addresses in Stockholm, and it's now opening its largest establishment to date on Mäster Samuelsgatan. Italian sandwiches made with schiacciata bread are the order of the day, filled with freshly cured meat, burrata and various spreads. Drinks-wise, the focus is on wine on tap and freshly brewed espresso.

Non Solo Bar has gained a sibling, housed in one of the glasshouses in Kungsträdgården. The same concept applies here as on Rörstrandsgatan: breakfast, coffee, lunch, post-work drinks, and dinner with European flavours and a focus on Italy. 

This self-proclaimed "Global Sandwich Club" at Årstaberg station focuses on well-filled sandwiches with flavours from all over the world. If you're craving a substantial sandwich, pop along here on the commuter or crossrail train.

Yono Sabo on Luntmakargatan has created a fusion restaurant with a bistro feel. The food consists of tasty street food with flavours inspired by Los Angeles, Mexico and Asia, and the drinks are the same. The drinks menu includes colourful cocktails and refreshing beers. Don't miss the outdoor seating area, perfect for lunch, dinner and post-work drinks.

Chao Na on Nytorget is a cosy little restaurant where you can enjoy authentic dishes from northern Thailand. The main stars on the menu are noodles, cooked according to the owners' family recipes. A top tip is to try the restaurant's signature dish, khao soi.

This family-owned neighbourhood restaurant will be opening on the corner of Erstagatan and Bondegatan. The name comes from the classic tobacco shop that used to be located here, and shouldn't be confused with Svenska Brasserier's pub on Götgatsbacken. During the daytime they serve simple lunch dishes and quality coffee, while in the evenings it's all about spicy sharing plates, wine and beer.  

The former boiler room of Gasverket in Norra Djurgårdsstaden will house a restaurant, beer hall and brewery called Tegellådan. The establishment, run by the same team as Lådan, will spread out over the 650 square metre space, with a large area for 100 guests and a smaller space for around 30 seated guests. There will also be an outdoor dining area serving “transparent street food”. 

At Raouché, both the food and interiors are inspired by classic Lebanese cuisine. Grilled main courses, a variety of meze, and fresh salads make up the menu, which also includes Lebanese wine, beer, cocktails, and a selection of spirits. There's also a private dining room with space for 40 guests. 

Copper Club Distillery & Asian Bistro is opening in Hammarby sjöstad, inviting you to an Asian fusion experience spiked with gin from the distillery of the same name. The new restaurant and bar is run by Benny Sonesson, who also manages Thaiboat in Skanstull. Eat both lunch and dinner here and, naturally, enjoy a gin-based cocktail.

Vassa Eggen's former premises have new inhabitants - Elite Hotels, with chef Jonas Svensson at the helm. The restaurant has an Indian concept, celebrating traditional Indian cuisine while lending a modern touch. 

Stockholmers' deep-rooted love for falafel never seems to wane, and in early 2024 the duo behind Ta'ameya Tegnérgatan and Baladi Grill will open their third restaurant on Folkungagatan. Just like its namesake, falafel and other homemade street food from the Middle East are the name of the game here.

Mess is opening in large premises on Mäster Samuelsgatan with several restaurants launching under the same roof every few months. Don't expect a food court though; every restaurant here will have its own atmosphere, interiors and offering. 

Sausages are the main event at Banger, one of the restaurants at Mess. As well as traditional sausages, there are also options for vegetarians and vegans on the menu.

Just in time for the one year anniversary of Lennart & Bror's sister restaurant Lennart & Bror Fisk, the restaurant on Tegnérgatan is gaining a basement bar by the name of Rhonda. The bar will initially be open Thursday-Saturday with an emphasis on nice vibes and hip-hop tunes.

In 1958, restaurateur Bengt Wedholm opened the doors to Östergök, which was a popular restaurant for the 17 years it existed. Restaurateurs Douglas Fagerman and Ruben Blomdahl have now taken over the premises and created a restaurant destination with two restaurants and a wine bar at the same address.

Bar Schiacciate sandwich bars are already established in several places in Stockholm, and in February 2024 they open the doors to their Kungsholmen branch. The Italian sandwiches are made on schiacciata bread and filled with cured meats, cheeses, spreads and other goodies. The food is served alongside wine on tap and freshly brewed espresso.

The Stockholmsverken neighbourhood in Södermalm is getting a new addition in the form of popular Vasastan restaurant Savoj, run by brothers Jonathan and Andreas Azizsson. They serve Neapolitan pizza, small dishes and natural wines. The new restaurant will have the same concept and will also serve lunch in addition to dinner and drinks.

Din-Din Club can be found at several different addresses in Stockholm, serving Asian streetfood in the form of bowls, ramen and rolls. The new branch in Hagastaden will be their fourth restaurant in Stockholm. 

Stockholm's new food court is expected to open its doors at the end of January. Svea Food Court, which is located opposite Handelshögskolan, the Stockholm School of Economics, encompasses approximately 200 square metre and houses eight different restaurants. The focus is on street food such as pizza, burgers and sushi, as well as classic Swedish home cooking.

Korean chicken king Monster Chicken already has a branch in Södermalm, and is now expanding the business with in Östermalm. Fried chicken, stews and side dishes such as kimchi are typical dishes on the menu.

The Caliente restaurants, which opened in 1997, are a familiar feature on the streets of Stockholm. Grandesse by Caliente, the next step on their gastronomic journey, mixes classic traditions with the contemporary for a modern tapas experience.

Trattoria Villa Romana will be getting a new, slightly more refined Italian sister restaurant with a focus on ingredients when Villa Romana open up their doors on Odengatan 85 close to Vasa park. 

The team behind the pizza boat Flytande Deg has gone ashore and now serves its Neapolitan pizzas in their Nacka restaurant as well. Pizzas are joined on the menu by a couple of antipasti and selected Italian wines.

Lao Lao, which opened in Zinkensdamm in 2018, is now opening its second branch in the middle of central Stockholm. Just like at its sister restaurant, the focus is on authentic Chinese small dishes as well as jianbing, a type of Chinese crepe with various fillings.

This newly built, glassed-in rooftop restaurant, right at the top of the 26th floor of a building next to the water at Liljeholmskajen, is planned to open in 2023. The restaurant, which boasts 360 degree views over  Stockholm och Årstaviken, will serve dishes with an international touch from seasoned chef Frank Barshamoun. There's also a sky bar and rooftop terrace which is bound to draw in tourists and Stockholmers alike. 

Premises that used to be a Chinese restaurant on Bysistorget now house Bar Europa, a lively spot that's small in size but has a big atmosphere. The menu revolves around small dishes, pizza slices, natural wine on tap and beer.

A laid-back atmosphere, activities such as chess, backgammon and pinball, and plenty of beer are the name of the game at Hallen. They serve a wide range of local beers to enjoy in good company, perhaps in front of the sports shown on the TV screens. They also hold regular quizzes, karaoke and gigs with DJs are also organised.

The team here previously ran the gastropub Hybrid in Enskede, and they've now moved to Östermalm with a new concept. Well-respected restaurateur couple Patric Blomquist and Lotta Karlsson focus on relaxed fine dining and fixed three-course menus here, made with seasonal ingredients. The venue has space for both bookings and spontaneous guests.

After thirty years in Söderhallarna, at the end of November 2023 it was time for Melanders to open at a new address. The classic fish restaurant can now be found at Åsögatan 111, with a food bar where small dishes are served, and of course a fish and shellfish counter where you can buy marine delicacies. The art in the room is curated by artist Ulrika Melin, and at the far end of the restaurant, composer and artist Wille Crafoord has created an illuminated work of several square metres that represents an aquarium.

Restaurateur Acki Kokotos is opening Restaurant Noema at a sun-kissed address on Birger Jarlsgatan, where food and drink will be the conduits to meaningful memorable moments. Taste-wise, there are no culinary boundaries; instead the kitchen draws inspiration from all over the world. Via a separate entrance you can reach Noema's intimate side restaurant, where cocktails and snacks are enjoyed to the tunes of DJ music. During the summer months they'll be opening up their outdoor dining area with room for nearly 100 guests.

Ami is open from early morning to evening, serving international flavours for breakfast as well as lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. They also love parties and post-work fun, with different happy hour themes on different days of the week. 

Blackstone Steakhouse is already a popular concept in several cities in Sweden, and in autumn 2023 it was finally time for Sundbyberg to get its own branch. Compose your own main course with protein, sides and sauces, which then come served freshly grilled on a steaming hot lava stone. There's also a bar here where you can drop by for something nice to drink.

Östermalm has a new addition in the form of Rosa. According to the owners, "distinguished drinks and lovely dishes" are served in the form of Nordic homecooking updated for the 2020s, and there's also room for a whole range of exciting beers on tap.

The premises that used to house Newt Food & Bread transformed in autumn 2023 into Bambam by Frank. At Bambam, whose name is Nigerian slang for good-good, the owners Frank and Christine invite you to a dining experience where African flavours meet locally-produced organic Swedish ingredients.

In the popular Södermalm area of ​​Sofo, Ta'ameya's sister restaurant Baladi Grill serves grilled delicacies from the Middle East, in freshly baked pita bread or on a plate. Everything here is made from scratch – even the soft-serve ice cream is made on site in the restaurant, which with its rustic brick, mint green panels and concrete tables makes for a cosy hangout at lunchtime as well as in the evening.

As the name suggests, La Petite Seure is Chez Jolie's little sister. This charmingly raucous wine bar opens its doors in the autumn right next to their big sister on the corner of Nybrogatan and Ingmar Bergmans gata. Guests are welcome to drop by for a glass of wine or enjoy an entire evening with snacks and selected wines from both small and large producers.

In true neighbourhood restaurant spirit, tradition, character and hospitality pervade this bistro in Södermalm. The menu consists of classic French and Swedish dishes given a slightly modern twist, and the drinks list includes selected wines, as well as beer and cocktails.

Mister York's success story began in a food truck in Kalmar during the pandemic year 2020. Their passion for hamburgers quickly proved to be a successful concept. Now the chain has landed in Stockholm, in Jureskog's old premises on Sveavägen

Portuguese Botica is opening up in Kungsträdgården. The menu consists of petiscos, Portuguese tapas, perfect for sharing with the table and served with carefully selected drinks for an elegant experience. 

Apropos, which is a popular watering hole for Vasastan's post-work crowd and anyone else you appreciates a well-blended cocktail, has gained a little sister by the name of Vadå. Both sisters live at the same address at S:t Eriksgatan 5.

Noorm is Norrtullsgatan's latest local restaurant – a kind of second living room where everyone's welcome. Enjoy a sharing dinner with international influences, tuck into a traditional meal, or just have a drink at the bar. We've also heard rumours there might be a secret bar on site known as BakomBaren...

The former Bottle Shop has changed its name to Udda – a bar and restaurant with a focus on strong beer, wine, natural wine, sparkling wine and cocktails, which are paired with quirky dishes inspired by the owners' travels to the countries of origin of the drinks. You can also buy artisanally produced low-alcohol beer here to take home with you.

Bar Central has moved out of Nytorget, and after extensive renovations of the new premises on Hornsgatan, they're once again bringing a taste of Central Europe to Södermalm. The bar, which is right next door to Folkoperan, serves homemade sausage, schnitzel, sauerkraut and other Central European dishes. Naturally, there are also plenty of drinks of Czech, German and Austrian origin.

Bio Rio's old premises, where Indio Kitchen used to be, are now home to RiRi. Behind the new restaurant concept is head chef Elias Kvarning, who has previously worked at Ett Hem and Fäviken, among others, and who, together with his team, cooks over an open fire. The Mediterranean-inspired menu changes as often as daily and is described by the kitchen themselves as carefree fine dining that pairs perfectly with their selected wines.

Gondolen is far from a new restaurant, it opened back in 1935 and was previously run by the Lallerstedt family but in 2023 they reopen under new owners Svenska Brasserier (who also run restaurants such as Riche and Sturehof) but with the same impressive views over Stockholm.

Teddys, which will be open from morning to evening, is opening on Sibyllegatan 43. As with their sister restaurant E & G, the focus at this deli and wine bar will be on wine. Come by for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just to hang out with a glass of wine in hand.

Stefan Taylor and his team have moved their fine-dining restaurant from Västerås to Kristineberg, where they offer a unique taste experience in eight courses in an iron-shaped residential building. From their seats at the large counter dining table, guests can watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen creating the evening's tasting menu, whose dishes change from day to day. Muted colors, dark wood and glass cabinets full of bottles of wine create a relaxed elegant living-room atmosphere.

In the up and coming area around Ersta, Bar Afterglow is run by star bartender Josephine Sondlo and Jack Parker. Exclusive cocktails combine with a homely neighbourhood bar feel, in pastel surroundings with tiled walls and lush plants. The menu also includes beer and bar snacks.

Italian coffee, Vietnamese street food, baguettes filled with sausage or lamb, and ice cream when the weather allows combine here. In other words, this little kitchen on Åsögatan serves flavours from all around the world.

In the Westfield Mall of Scandinavia, you'll find one of Sweden's largest buffets, filled with dishes from different food cultures around the world, desserts and drinks. There's also a wide range of activities such as bowling and mini golf. With space for groups of up to 1,000 people, it's ideal for kick-offs, company functions, birthday parties and other types of events. The name Botanica alludes to the restaurant's leafy decor.

Many of us are already familiar with Rolfs Kök and its unpretentious restaurant concept featuring high-quality, Scandinavian cuisine. In September 2023, Rolf's sister restaurant, Rolfs Hav, opened, with a focus on the delicacies of the sea – fish and shellfish. The concept is relaxed and mainly welcomes spontaneous guests, but larger groups can also book a table.

The Sheraton's restaurant aims to be an obvious dining destination not only for hotel guests, but also for local residents. Executive chef Pontus Wellén, who has been brought in for the relaunch, has created a dynamic menu with a focus on the plant kingdom. Their ambition is to offer a lively meeting place in the middle of the city, with innovative flavours on the plate as well as in the glass. Post-work revellers, couples, families and business people are all welcomed here.

Veteran restaurateur Micke Ljungberg's new neighbourhood pub Duvan serves snacks, small and larger dishes and dessert. are served. The menu includes both comfort food and more elegant dishes.

Bambi is opening up in Skanstull and promises to be an establishment to reckon with. French cuisine and top-notch wines will be the order of the day when the restaurant opens up on Bjurholmsgatan.
