This popular Italian from the Stureplansgruppen restaurant group is housed in the former premises of the historic Metropol Palais cinema, just a stone's throw from Odenplan. Cuculo continues the legacy of its Italy-inspired predecessor, Östergök, which used to be located in the legendary premises. The wine bar and sandwich shop Il Merlo is a charming spot on Wollmar Yxkullsgatan by Mariatorget. Hosteria Tre Santi opened in 1990 and, with its classic Italian concept, has become a true Stockholm institution. In addition to excellent Italian cuisine the restaurant boasts an ambitious wine cellar as well as a wide selection of grappa. The friendly waiting-staff are a large part of Hosteria Tre Santi's success. During the summer months there's a large alfresco dining area.

When Robert "Boban" Rudinski opened his third restaurant in these Åsögatan premises, it wasn't long before food lovers from all corners of Stockholm found their way here. The menu features influences from all over Italy, but forget fine dining and fancy techniques – the focus here is on rustic peasant food, prepared according to the philosophy that ingredients should speak for themselves. A lot of thought has also gone into creating a cosy atmosphere.

Walking into Bastas sister restaurant Florentine is a bit like stepping onto a film set. Design influences come from 1970s Italy and they've created a glamorous setting with large sofa groups and Roman statue. The menu consists of Italian classics ideal for sharing with the table, such as handmade pasta and Neapolitan sourdough pizzas. 

Trattoria Giorgio's aims to offer a slice of stress-free, Italian living, where dinners can linger and conversations flow freely and passionately throughout the restaurant. The inspiration for the vibrant decor has been drawn from 1960s Rome and Florence, featuring colour and form, beautiful glass lamps, and lush greenery. The menu boasts Italian classics with a twist. Pasta and pizza are, of course, essential options.

On Kungsbron and Odenplan, Trattoria Villa Romana invites you to a taste of Italy. Decor is rustic and romantic, with exposed brick walls and industrial lamps creating a charming atmosphere. Enjoy homemade pasta, wood-fired pizza and Italian desserts in warm, welcoming surroundings. Ideal for a big family dinner, or a post-work drink with colleagues.

You'll find Capricci right next to the waterfront in Hornstull, next to Debaser. There's plenty of room for familial Italian-style dinners, with food, wine and a relaxed atmosphere. In the summer months they open up the spacious alfresco dining area with views over the water. 

Panza is an Italian restaurant at the Elite Palace Hotel in Vasastan, where they combine authentic Italian flavours with modern influences. Guests can enjoy lunch, dinner and aperitivo in a vibrant setting inspired by Italian postmodernism. The menu offers everything from classic dishes to innovative variations.

This Italian neighbourhood restaurant is situated close to its sister restaurant Barobao, but the flavours they serve are very different.
