Traditional steamboat serving archipelago flavours
The heritage steamship S/S Norrskär was built in 1910 by Eriksbergs Mekaniska Verkstad in Gothenburg and has been in service ever since. Today, Norrskär operates regular services in the central Stockholm archipelago, with lunch and dinner served in the ship's classic dining room.
The food on board Norrskär is cooked from scratch with inspiration from Swedish classic dishes. During lunch, lighter options are served and in the evening, you can choose from a full menu served in authentic archipelago surroundings.
Norrskär has daily departures from Strömkajen to the archipelago, with stops both in Vaxholm and at other piers on the way to popular destinations such as Grinda and Sandhamn. During the summer months, the ship also makes longer trips out into the archipelago. The beautiful dining room is open both on the way there and back, so you can combine the outing with lunch or dinner on board - or why not both?
You can pre-book a seat in the dining room, but boat tickets are purchased on board since the ship operates in Waxholmsbolaget's traffic.
