Urban Deli on Sveavägen packs a lot in under the same roof: a deli, café, restaurant and hotel. A buzzy meeting place in the heart of the city that's open day and night. During the summer months, they also have an outdoor bar up on their large roof terrace.

Restaurang Pava has a passion for great wine and fabulous cocktails. The restaurant's own sommelier ensures there's always a top-notch selection of wines and the bartenders are ready and waiting to mix up both traditional cocktails and Pava's own twists on the classics. The Art Deco interiors contribute to the Continental feel and Friday atmosphere all week long. There are plenty of places to sit at the bar, both at the bar counter and in the soft sofas all around.

The Laughing Duck on Vasagatan describes itself as “the pub that never sleeps”. And that's actually pretty close to the truth - they're open every day of the year and until 3am every day of the week. Socialise in a relaxed way around simple but hearty food and drinks, listen to music or watch sports.

Stylish Pom Friterie combines Dutch-inspired streetfood with cocktails of all kinds, classic drinks as well as exciting new creations. Come by to hang out in cool surroundings accompanied by electronic music, drink a cocktail or two and marvel over just how good a French fry can taste. 

Bar Arsenalen is right next door to the beloved sibling establishment Bistro Arsenalen on Arsenalsgatan. Food and wine are served in a thoughtful mix that leans mostly towards Europe. Wines come from both classic and more niche wine regions, and the food menu consists of small and medium plates with flavours from, well, Europe. You can also bring your dog here.

As the name suggests, the emphasis here is on wine, as well as delicious food pairings. Pick and choose from the selection or ask for recommendations, by the glass or bottle. Order small or medium-sized dishes to pair with your wine ad share with your party.

In the old PUB department store premises in the middle of Hötorget, you'll find the grand hotel Haymarket by Scandic and their cocktail bar Americain, a nod to the old-fashioned hotel bars, the Caribbean, and the film Casablanca. Settle into a velvet armchair and sip an elegant cocktail among Stockholmers and international hotel guests.

Nobis Hotels elegant cocktail bar on Norrmalmstorg draws in guests with its golden interiors, designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune. The cocktail menu is regularly updated and naturally they also offer all the classic drinks. If you like, you can also sit in the adjacent atrium lounge, with a ceiling height of 28 metres.

Right in the midst of Vasagatan and eight floors up inside the Scandic Continental hotel, you'll find Capital. This rooftop bar is open year-round and expands with a terrace during the summer months. Whether you choose to sit inside or outside, you'll be able to stunning views of the city while sipping on a cocktail and maybe grabbing a bite.

Yono Sabo serves up influences from Mexico in its small bistro on Luntmakargatan, where cocktails are shaken and stirred and hearty street food is served. Mexican beer, cocktails made with mezcal and tajin, and jarritos are some of the options on the drinks menu. Sit out on the outdoor terrace when the weather allows or cosy up indoors.

Small, lively wine bar in the city. People come here to drink fun wines by the glass (or tap!) and enjoy tasty small dishes. No table reservations, just drop-in, so come early or take the opportunity to visit their sister bakery Le Violon Dingue next door while you wait for a seat.

This elegant rooftop bar is nine floors above ground, boasting panoramic windows with magnificent views of Stockholm city's rooftops and waterways. Behind the bar counter, cocktails are crafted in both creative and classic styles, and you can also find something to eat from the bar menu if hunger strikes.

One floor down in the Korean BBQ restaurant Chingu, you'll find a vibrant bar with flavours from Seoul. They serve cocktails and street food with a Korean twist amidst murals and neon signs, perfect for an after-work drink or an evening with friends in the heart of the city.

In the Teaterbrasseriet's bar inside the Scandic Grand Central, it's easy to imagine you've been transported to vibrant Manhattan. The setting is inspired by New York, and the clientele includes both locals from Stockholm as well as visitors from more distant shores. Meet up for a cocktail or a glass of wine with a view of the hustle and bustle at the intersection of Vasagatan/Kungsgatan.

In the building H&M opened their first store in in 1968 you can now enjoy delicious cocktails, wine and bubbly, perhaps combined with some French-style snacks. Regulars and new visitors alike come to Brasserie Hötorget for a social hangout with a living-room feel. The bar is open every day of the week, from morning until evening and regular DJ sets add an extra party vibe. 

Inside the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel in the heart of the city, you'll find the bar and restaurant The Lounge, where both hotel guests and passers-by are welcome all day long. Stop by and sip on a cocktail in a modern Scandinavian setting.

Inside the Elite Hotel Stockholm Plaza, India's is a modern Indian restaurant run by restaurateur Jonas Svensson. There are two cocktail bars where you can enjoy dry martinis, margaritas, and exciting cocktails with Indian influences.

Why complicate things? At Ruben, they offer simple yet well-composed cocktails, great wines, and beers in a slightly eclectic environment with a homely feel. Many of the city's office workers and other passers-by choose to round off the day here with a sociable drink, perhaps accompanied by a few oysters, some charcuterie, or something else tasty.

MAP Petite Maison has brought its international flair to Stockholm with an impressive selection of spirits. The intimate cocktail bar with fifteen seats also serves food in the form of tapas and displays regularly-changing artworks on the walls. They want the bar to be a "home from home" and the atmosphere and service are warm and personal.

When the craving for a really, really cold margarita strikes, head to Tres, just next to the central station. This Mexican haunt specialises in fruity frozen slush drinks, but also has a curated selection of tequila, rum, pisco, and Mexican beer. Dig into tacos and other street food if you want something filling to line your stomach.

If you want to enjoy a glass of wine, a cocktail or some tapas in relaxed surroundings, La Esquina on Drottninggatan is the place for you. The Spanish tapas bar takes guests on a taste trip to the heart of Spain.

Take a pew under a sea of rice-paper lanterns at Wäng Izakaya on Sveavägen. If you're not hungry you can just take a seat at the bar and browse the list of classic cocktails and cocktails that reflect the restaurant's Asian theme. 

Berns is an historic building in Berzelii park in the heart of the city. Pleasure-seeking Stockholmers have been coming to this legendary spot since 1863 and there are now several different bars in the building, of various sizes and characters. In Berns Asiatiska, for example, you can enjoy cocktails with Asian flavours.

Kungsbiljarden has a bar, restaurant and activities all under the same roof, spread out over 1200 square metres in the heart of the city. Meet up with colleagues and friends for a post-work drink or watch the big game on tv. Their selection of beers is as extensive as the choice of activities. 

You don't need to be hankering after meat to visit the The Meat next to Central station. You can also drop by for a drink in the bar. Choose from the house cocktails and well-known classics such as Old Fashioneds, Whiskey Sours and Margaritas.
