The best gin and tonic in Stockholm

Hernö Gin Bar was a real talking point when it opened in historic premises close to Slussen in autumn 2021, and their stylish concept won't disappoint. Sip first-class cocktails - made, naturally, from different types of Hernö Gin. The drinks menu includes several different variations on G&T, among them the drink that was awarded “World's best Gin & Tonic” by the International Wine and Spirits Competition

If you like to know exactly where your drink comes from, visit Stockholms Bränneri's gin bar on Folkungagatan, where they produce all their drinks. You can combine creative cocktails with Nordic pairing dishes by chef Albin Edberg. Sustainability is always at the heart of what they do. Naturally you'll find plenty of gin & tonic drinks on the menu.

Agrikultur began as a small restaurant on Roslagsgatan where fine Swedish ingredients were served in a tasting menu. Bar Agrikultur is their popular gin bar and mini restaurant on Nytorget, and you can enjoy the same experience here but in a slightly different, simpler form. You can order several small dishes to share, and they recommend accompanying them with their favourite gin. In 2022 and 2023 they were awarded a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin guide.

Cadierbaren, inside the Grand Hôtel Stockholm, has one of the most beautiful interiors in Stockholm, with views over the Royal Palace and the harbour to match. The bar oozes luxury, and a crisp and refreshing classic gin and tonic suits the surroundings perfectly.

You'll stroll past Tures, with its sunny outdoor seating and light indoor dining area, in Sturegallerian shopping galleria when you come in from Grev Turegatan. It's always busy and lively and you'll often find crowds of hungry shoppers queuing up for a Toast Skagen or moules frites. It's a little known fact that they also offer a wide selection of gin and tonics, with ingredients including fruit and berries

Under the same roof as the Copper Club distillery in Hammarby Sjöstad, you'll also find a tropical gin bar where they mix up cocktails using their own gin. In addition to signature cocktails with Asian flavours, they also blend classic cocktails with a wide range of gin varieties from the distillery.

Believe it or not, you'll find one of Stockholm's most secret cocktail bars right in the middle of Sankt Eriksplan. It feels like an old-school English gentlemen's club, with cosy, dark and welcoming vibes, and the menu includes perfectly-blended cocktails, including - naturally - classic G&Ts. Sometimes they make their own variations with fun flavours.
