Natural-wine bars in Stockholm

Savant Bar

Small-scale natural wine bar

If you're in the mood for a glass of natural wine, Savant Bar on Tegnérgatan is a safe bet. This minimalist wine bar focuses on small, hand-selected producers and you'll find a regularly updated range of natural wines on the drinks list, with over 500 bottles to choose from. Combine with bar food along the same sustainable lines if you're feeling peckish.

Nektar

Unique flavours

Nektar is one of the latest editions to the Stockholm bar scene. They took over their Rörstrandsgatan premises in spring 2022 and the guests began coming straight away. They serve artisanal wines and small plates including sweet alternatives.

Grus Grus

Handmade

Tranan's winebar Grus Grus focuses on organic, handmade natural wines. You'll find both obscure and more traditional grapes to sample. Complementary small dishes, snacks, charcuterie and cheeses are also served, if you like to have something to nibble on while you drink.

Ambar

Natural wines and Japanese homecooking

This unique winebar on Tomtebogatan by Sankt Eriksplan specialises in amber-coloured drinks, but they also serve other drinks. Choose one of their natural wines and don't miss their food menu with small dishes inspired by Japanese homecooking.

Ring Katarina

Wild about wine

Ring Katarina is a welcoming watering hole for anyone who loves wine. They serve natural wines with exciting labels from both small and slightly larger producers, who come to visit from time to time and uncork their favourite bottles. They also serve food in the form of small dishes that are excellent both for snacking on and for making into a full dinner.

Chewie's Bar

Natural wine and open sandwiches

Chewie's Bar, formerly Folk & Friends, is a dog-friendly bar that serves natural wines, as well as craft beers and ciders. If you want to have something to eat you can order their plant-based smörrebröd open sandwiches.

Café Nizza

Popular Södermalm bistro

This Mediterranean bistro is a popular spot with carefully selected small dishes and main courses, as well as a fantastic wine list. They serve natural wines as well as more classic wines in all imaginable colours and flavours. France and Italy make up the majority of the selection, but you'll also find fine wines from countries including Slovenia, Greece and Hungary. In 2021 they opened their little sister bar Cave Nizza, a smaller wine bar with simple small dishes.

Woodstockholm

Thoroughly sustainable

Their exciting menus and sustainable philosophy draw a steady stream of conscious foodies to Mosebacke torg in Södermalm. The restaurant (which moonlights as a furniture store) is equally interested in drinks and has numerous excellent wines from artisan producers in its selection, including natural wines.

Scandwich

Natural wine on tap

Passionate about sandwiches, Scandwich is perhaps best known for its award-winning sandwiches, but the menu also features a well-curated selection of drinks with natural wine served on tap. The focus is on affordable wines from smaller producers that are rotated regularly. Pair a glass with some street food and perhaps a round of board games – what more do you need?

Alba

Sociable Södermalm spot

If you appreciate a lively atmosphere and excellent natural wines, this could be the place for you. Alba has a warm, welcoming "everyone knows everyone" feel. You sit close to your group whether you choose to sit inside or out, but that's all part of the charm. There's a wide selection of wines of all colours.

Bar Ninja

Destination: wine

Steer a course straight towards Bar Ninja in Katarinakvarten if you like wine, particularly natural wines. Wine importers Wine Trade, who focus on artisanally-made wines, run the bar, so they know a thing or two about the grape-based beverage. The bar can get pretty busy.

Tyge & Sessil

By Niklas Ekstedt

Next door to the fine dining restaurant Ekstedt, you'll find Tyge & Sessil, which focuses on natural wines. They prioritise small producers who work in harmony with nature, and they like to showcase grapes you may not have heard of before. Perfect for anyone who enjoys discovering new varieties.

Post Bar

Wine on tap

Urban Deli's wine bar is in the same premises on Nytorget. Post Bar serves wine from small-scale wine producers on tap, a unique experience but all the better for that. Listen to great music and knowledgeable sommeliers or book a wine tasting.

Matbaren

Small-scale wine in spectacular surroundings

The restaurants in the Grand Hôtel, Matbaren & Rutabaga, serve lunch and dinner with Nordic flavours, made from the very best ingredients. To match the delicate flavours they've created a carefully composed wine list with an emphasis on the natural, small-scale and organic.
