Papi by Checa

Peruvian flavours, natural wines

Södermalm spot Papi by Checa gives Peruvian flavours a new twist, serving natural wine in all possible colours alongside. The selection is constantly changing but always includes fun bottles from smaller producers. Feel free to chat about wine with the enthusiastic staff – they're more than happy to share their knowledge and recommendations for new varieties to try.

Ring Katarina

Wild about wine

Ring Katarina is a welcoming watering hole for anyone who loves wine. They serve natural wines with exciting labels from both small and slightly larger producers, who come to visit from time to time and uncork their favourite bottles. They also serve food in the form of small dishes that are excellent both for snacking on and for making into a full dinner.

Café Nizza

Popular Södermalm bistro

This Mediterranean bistro is a popular spot with carefully selected small dishes and main courses, as well as a fantastic wine list. They serve natural wines as well as more classic wines in all imaginable colours and flavours. France and Italy make up the majority of the selection, but you'll also find fine wines from countries including Slovenia, Greece and Hungary. In 2021 they opened their little sister bar Cave Nizza, a smaller wine bar with simple small dishes.

Woodstockholm

Thoroughly sustainable

Their exciting menus and sustainable philosophy draw a steady stream of conscious foodies to Mosebacke torg in Södermalm. The restaurant (which moonlights as a furniture store) is equally interested in drinks and has numerous excellent wines from artisan producers in its selection, including natural wines.

Alba

Sociable Södermalm spot

If you appreciate a lively atmosphere and excellent natural wines, this could be the place for you. Alba has a warm, welcoming "everyone knows everyone" feel. You sit close to your group whether you choose to sit inside or out, but that's all part of the charm. There's a wide selection of wines of all colours.

Bar Ninja

Destination: wine

Steer a course straight towards Bar Ninja in Katarinakvarten if you like wine, particularly natural wines. Wine importers Wine Trade, who focus on artisanally-made wines, run the bar, so they know a thing or two about the grape-based beverage. The bar can get pretty busy.

Tyge & Sessil

By Niklas Ekstedt

Next door to the fine dining restaurant Ekstedt, you'll find Tyge & Sessil, which focuses on natural wines. They prioritise small producers who work in harmony with nature, and they like to showcase grapes you may not have heard of before. Perfect for anyone who enjoys discovering new varieties.

The Italian Cousins

Natural wine on tap

With their Sergels torg branch, the cousins who run The Italian Cousins have ventured into the world of beverages, focusing on artisanal wines primarily from their home region of Emilia-Romagna in Italy. As well as exciting bottles in different colours, they also serve natural wine on tap – as convenient as it is kind to the environment. Hang out at the bar and nibble on some olives, cheese, and charcuterie, or take a seat in the restaurant for an authentic Italian evening with pizza, pasta, and of course plenty of natural wine.

Växthuset
