Dinner and wine with European flavours
Flor Matbar invites you to “Come as you are.” Drop by this small restaurant on Surbrunnsgatan 38 in Vasastan to enjoy a glass of wine or share small plates with flavours from both southern and northern Europe.
Flor Matbar is tucked away on a small back street in Siberien, close to the intersection of Odengatan and Sveavägen. A relaxed little food bar decorated entirely in wood, with wooden furniture, a wooden bar and wooden walls. Glass lamps and dried plants hang from the ceiling. The restaurant, which calls itself “Stockholm's living room”, is a cosy place for dinners and drinks with influences from Europe, on a two-person basis or in a slightly larger group. Drop by to share a few small plates or explore the selection of hand-selected wine bottles at the bar.
The food, which is served on mismatched china in old-fashioned style, consists of both small and larger dishes. Culinary influences come primarily from the Mediterranean, but also from Sweden. The menu includes everything from oysters au gratin to Swedish meat. The menu is relatively small but full of creative and unexpected flavour combinations. You can also start your dinner with a negroni or one of the other classic aperitifs on the menu. Also keep an eye on the ever-changing selection of wine.

Ett litet hål i väggen helt i min smak. Trevligt, gott och väldigt god mat. Är man 2 kan man ha tur att få sitta vid chef table i köket, och det gillar man ju. Vi började med en Kalix toast med Wrångebäck ost, tyvärr lite snålt med löjrom men smaken var magisk. Sen fortsatte vi alla med en kräftravioli som var bland den godaste ravioli jag ätit. Rekommenderar varmt denna lilla pärla!
