Review of Hötorget Kvarterskrog & Bar – by Carl C.
Went in for lunch with a colleague the other day. We were swiftly seated, however the order taking took a good 20 minutes. We decided to order the "entrecôte", which was to set us back 299 SEK each (30 euros). After waiting some 30 minutes for it to arrive we were presented with two slabs of meat that was close to inedible.
We ordered them "medium rare", but somehow they managed to be burnt on the outside while still raw on the inside. The steaks themselves were of the worst quality imaginable. I still question whether they were beef at all. Chewy, full of tendons and uncooked fat. On top of this they were ridiculously over salted. Probably to hide the taste of the meat.
The saving grace was that the hostess gracefully sliced our bill quite significantly.
While the decor was decent for what an establishment it tries to be, and the waitress nice, we will stay far away from this establishment. Overpriced, terrible meat, uninteresting menu and unskilled kitchen staff.
