This is, to me, not just a hidden gem, but a completely unknown one.
I haven't heard anyone who's been here, and didn't know the bar existed before I stayed at Hotel Reisen and by chance found out. The bar is located at the far end of Hotel Reisen and is not visible when passing by. There is apparently another entrance from the old town. In and of itself, the theme at the bar is a bit of a "hidden cocktail bar during the American prohibition era, which perhaps makes the slightly secret situation reasonable anyway.
It's dark, murky, cozy and considering it seems to be a bit of an unknown place, this was very quiet and not at all crowded with people on a Saturday at 9pm. At the same time, it was not at all empty and calm but a lovely atmosphere and very nice staff.
We had a couple of drinks each, from a cocktail menu with plenty to choose from. Both classics and self-composed goodies. The drinks came quickly and were delicious.
I don't know how newly opened the bar is, or why it's so far so unknown. Because I really think it has something! It is simply pleasant, cozy and tasty.
Bar Brahe!
