If you walk from Tantolunden to Skanstull (or the other way), you walk past this small place. On the whole, it looks pretty anonymous, but oh what a gem hiding here!
It is super cozy right by the water and if you go down a couple of steps you come down to a narrow pier where you can almost get waves on your feet on a day when Lake Mälaren is a little wavy. You have to look for a more peaceful place! And it's really a sunny summer day this place does its best! Settle down in the sun or under one of the large parasols. Eat well, have a soft ice cream or a glass of wine.
My rating of 5 stars is based entirely on their Toast Skagen! Having been more or less obsessed with that dish all summer, and eating many of it in widely different places in the Stockholm area, this one is at the top along with the one from Hallwylska.
But the Hull's Toast skagen is classic, tasty and firm in its shape (loathes when they are runny). The flavor is super tasty, the portion is generous and the bread crispy. (If you're going to whine about something, you could get another slice of bread, but now we're talking petitesses). And all this for 159 kr! A truly KAP in every way! Pure enjoyment! Go there immediately!
