It's not often I choose to go to a British pub in Stockholm when I'm going out. And by "not often" I really mean "Never." But in all honesty, maybe it's because I didn't know that there was a nice and good British pub in our capital. That particular category of restaurants is relegated more to a bit of a "beer-hook hang-out", which is not my thing.
Me and a friend went here for lunch. And what a lunch it was! Maybe this is where you get the best fish n chips in town? If not, I would be happy to receive tips on a challenger! The pie that my friend ate was divine. We ate the sauce with a spoon straight from the jug. Unexpectedly enough, we ended up here because my friend so badly wanted to try a British "champagne" that was only available here. It was ordered and drank - very expensive but lovely.
The staff was great! The food that you can read about, superb. The room is cozy but I think it will be even cozier in the evening. And that's exactly what I'm going to do - go back here for dinner. I think it will make the grade raise to a five.
