When I lived on the trail for a couple of years ago, this was my place for brunch. A relatively good brunch platter for around SEK 100 and with good pancakes. Then it was always good with people and at the weekend did you book in advance or be prepared to wait to get a table. Now, something happened.
Every time I pass by it nearly empty in the venue, I've been thinking about it but haven't found any good reason. Instead, I decided to take a lunch and check out what could have happened.
I come in at 16 a weekday and I'm alone review. Here I should have turned in the door but I was determined to eat.
The choice fell on smoked salmon with salad, asparagus and pepparrotskräm. The menu looked almost exactly like the last time I was here as a guest and also it felt strange.
Well, my salad was clearly approved but especially nice was not. I was measured without any wow-feeling.
I wonder if it is just the lack of regeneration that makes Café Vero lost guests. A lot has happened since 2008 in Stockholm, but here it is the same regardless.
Before I leave Vero to slowly fading, I'll try the pancakes again, I am after all in search of Stockholm's most delicious American pancakes right now.
