From Skanstull to Medborgarplatsen it is like a black hole in terms of cafes (read job places) if one goes on Götgatan so I usually avoid it at all costs. Just today I had no choice and when I went and muttered to myself So I discovered a Fabrique I had not visited before. The happiness was great when I saw that the upper floor was very well suited to sit and work for a couple of hours.
Fabrique is a chain of bakeries I appreciate because prices are not crazy high and the coffee is often more than approved. If you have not visited the branch on Gotland, do it the next time you are on the island. It's an idyllic place. Enough of that.
Right here at Götgatan, it is the staff who are the big gain. There is a super cute girl here who should be able to teach most other barisstor how easy it is to provide good service and that a smile does not cost anything.
Good coffee and a large selection of cakes, pastries and bread make this clearly a place to have coffee if you are, just like me and her husband, tired of Gunnarsson's "monopoly" on this part of Götgatan. There are also tasty sandwiches, fatty French yogurts and really good butter. Luxurying it with good bread and home-butter makes any morning a party.
The only thing I really miss is wifi but it's okay. I'll definitely be back.
