On the site of Sweden's first apothecary, which opened in the 16th century, this award-winning cocktail bar has preserved the feel of the old apothecary and serves imaginative, seasonal cocktails as well innovative medium-sized dishes. Right next door you'll find their sister restaurant Stortorgskällaren, serving classic cocktails mixed at the bar.

Gemma on Grev Turegatan is run by award-winning bartender Johan Evers. Artisanal cocktails are blended with passion and precision and you can order light meals or snacks to go with your drink.

This hip concept combines an award-winning NYC-cool speakeasy bar with a restaurant and barbershop. The bartenders - some of the best in the city - create innovative cocktails behind the ornate bar. The casual, unpretentious ambiance enhances the experience.

Hernö Gin Bar serves top-notch cocktails made from various different kinds of Hernö Gin. Sip classic drinks like their award-winning gin & tonic in historic surroundings next to Slussen, accompanied by small plates with Swedish flavours. The ground floor is home to their restaurant and cocktail bar, and downstairs you'll find a cosy tasting venues.

In the historic surroundings of the Grand Hôtel Stockholm, Cadierbaren is an international cocktail bar that attracts hotel guests and external visitors alike. Order exciting cocktails with unexpected flavour combinations in the magnificent bar, as well as luxurious smaller and larger format dishes. An à la carte breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are also served here.

The cocktail bar Lucy's Flower Shop can be found (if you know where to look) in Arnoldshuset next door Coquetel Social. The bar, hidden away in a basement is run by Alex Skärlén and Ola Carlsson. Le Hibou is an elegant but relaxed cocktail bar at the top of the Bank Hotel, with Parisian-inspired interiors. Gaze out over the waters of Nybroviken while you sip one of their signature cocktails.

Artilleriet's playful cocktail bar, Stjärtilleriet, in the centre of the restaurant, has fun atmosphere and a completely unique drinks menu. The cocktail names are as exciting as the ingredients, and if you're having trouble deciding between the different drinks, go all-in with their “cocktail omakase”, which includes several different cocktails by the half glass.  

Stepping into Erlands is like stepping back in time, with staff dressed in white shirts and dark suit trousers, and if you're lucky, there'll be a jazz band entertaining somewhere. Take a seat on one of the two floors and explore the well-crafted signature cocktails and well-known classics.

Röda Huset cocktail bar and restaurant is centrally located in a red building on Sergels torg. The menu includes a wide range of unique cocktails made with Swedish ingredients, and also an extensive list of selected wines. If you're feeling a bit peckish there are several different snacks and small dishes to choose from. 

With their colourful cocktail bar on the corner of Stureplan, Hotel Kung Carl has breathed new life into France's exuberant period of history, la belle époque. Drink interesting cocktails made from the hotel's own-produced punsch and listen to jazz. In the evenings there's a party atmosphere with DJs and live music.

Bar Othilia is part of Operakällaren, where Johan Evers, along with his team from the acclaimed cocktail bar A Bar Called Gemma, has created a destination for all cocktail lovers. Johan himself describes the bar as a timeless place that you'll want to return to time and time again.

At award-winning bartender Josephine Sondlo's and Jack Parker's pastel-coloured cocktail bar,  ambitious cocktails combine with the feel of a cosy neighbourhood bar. The drinks menu features both their own creations and creative interpretations of classics such as Negronis and Old Fashioneds, and you can also enjoy a beer if you prefer. An easy place to spend a whole evening with some snacks and good banter over the bar counter.

Drink cocktails with Nordic and Japanese influences while you enjoy the panoramic views over Stockholm. Take in the atmosphere in Tak's bar on the fourteenth floor and enjoy the outdoor area during the summer months.

Forma in Hornstull is passionate about their food, which is French/Asian with Swedish influences. But they can also deliver lively, drink-cocktails-till-3am vibes. The restaurant includes a long bar where bartenders shake up both classic cocktails and ones that pair with the Asian flavours on the menu. Order small dishes and snacks from the bar menu if you want something to nibble on with your drinks. 

The Nobis Hotel's glamorous hotel bar is famous for its luxurious interiors, designed by Claeson Koivisto Rune, but their innovative cocktails take centre stage. Choose between perfectly blended signature cocktails and popular classics, all served in exclusive, gilt-edged surroundings. 

Located in the Old Town, Bar Brahe serves up American Prohibition era vibes, with handcrafted cocktails and live jazz are at the forefront. The French zinc bar and music recreate a sense of 1920s speakeasies, where you can sample everything from pure Nordic flavours to sweet and spicy drinks with flavours from various parts of the world.

Tres Taco Joint is a lively restaurant in the heart of the city, offering authentic Mexican food and a relaxed atmosphere that attracts after-work crowds, friends, and families in a delightful mix. The drinks menu is long and vibrant, featuring cocktails such as frozen margaritas, tequila drinks, and beverages with other Mexican spirits.

Ambitious omakase restaurant Black Milk Gastro Bar has an equally ambitious cocktail bar called L'Osteria. It is a small, intimate bar that aims to bring something new to Stockholm's bar scene. Small plates with a focus on quality seasonal ingredients are served with the drinks, reflecting the style of food served in the restaurant. In 2024, they were awarded best new cocktail bar at the Bartenders' Choice Awards.

Bar Hommage is a French haunt in Södermalm, consisting of both a bar and a dining area. Enjoy classic cocktails in a romantic setting with someone you care about.

On the ninth floor of Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel, creativity knows no bounds, at least not when it comes to cocktails. New cocktails are constantly being created behind the bar at HIGH Bar, along with the establishment's signature drinks and a few classics, making for an extensive selection of drinks to explore. Through the panoramic windows there are breathtaking views of both Stockholm city centre and the city's waterways.

Right at the top of Downtown Camper by Scandic, you'll find the hotel's roof bar and wellness area. Sink down into a sofa and sip one of their signature cocktails or mocktails as you admire the spectacular views over Stockholm.

Intimate and homely cocktail bar on Sankt Eriksplan. Head up the narrow wooden stairs, grab a spot in a cosy corner and chat away for an hour or two in an environment reminiscent of your granny's living room – in the best way possible.

The former PUB department store on Hötorget houses the large Haymarket by Scandic hotel, with its restaurant, café and cocktail bar Americain. The atmosphere is classic hotel bar, with touches of the Caribbean and the film Casablanca. Take a seat in one of the velvet armchairs and order a stylish cocktail and perhaps something to snack on.

Round off the day in modern hotel surroundings in the heart of town. LYKKE, insde the Nordic Light Hotel, doesn't just serve Nordic food, it also has a bar that's perfect for an evening rendezvous. 

At Bar Nordic, you can enjoy seasonal cocktails made with berries that have ripened under the midnight sun and fruit from carefully selected producers. The wild flavours can be paired with equally wild tastes on the plate, such as smoked elk and vendace roe. You can find the bar right in the city centre, on Vasagatan.

Downstairs at the Korean BBQ restaurant Chingu, their vibrant bar is inspired by the streets of Seoul. Enjoy exciting signature drinks featuring the spirit soju, as well as small dishes with a Korean twist.

At Tête in the city centre, Lebanese fusion combines with creative cocktails. Sit down at the elegant bar in the middle of the dining room and sip on, for example, a “Tête” with vodka, chai, pomegranate, rose water and coconut, or a “Figgin delicious” with bourbon, fig, rosemary, lemon and sugar.

GOMA is Sweden's first Asian gastropub and you'll find it in Östermalm. They serve exciting cocktails, often with Asian flavours, and with sweet, salty and sour notes. Drop by for a cocktail before or after dinner, or grab some friends or colleagues for a post-work drink. If you want to make the evening extra special book in to GOMA's karaoke room and belt out a few tunes. 

Stockhom's first tikibar oozes Hawaiian, Polynesian and American West Coast vibes. Think enormous rum cocktails, flowery Hawaiian shirts and tropical tunes. Cocktails are made according to both original and their own recipes and many of them are based on rums from Jamaica and Cuba. You'll find Tiki Room in the basement of Mellow Bar.

On the street level of this cosy Old Town restaurant there's a cocktail bar, where both classic and own signature cocktails are shaken and stirred. Gin and tonics and coffee cocktails have their own sections on the drinks list, and other specific cocktails are regularly celebrated in the form of a theme week, with exciting variations and lower prices. 

The rooftop bar on the eighth floor of the Scandic Continental has a special emphasis on cocktails. The skilled bartenders mix up both the bar's own signature drinks and well-known classics. Sip on a cocktail while admiring the view, and if hunger strikes, you can order a few international dishes in various sizes to complement the experience.

The original MAP Petite Maison opened in London in 2015 and since 2022 Stockholm has had it's own version of the intimate cocktail bar. The bar has just fifteen seats and there's an emphasis on premium cocktails, exclusive spirits and Japanese whisky. Thanks to their great working relationships with some of the world's best distilleries, they boast an impressive range of spirits. They mix up both classic and innovative cocktails with artisanal skills and in arty surroundings.

In the Art Deco-influenced cocktail bar inside the Hotel Rival on Mariatorget, you can sink into red velvet sofas and enjoy delicious drinks. Some of the original decor from the 1930s remains.

At the Supper family's bar and restaurant on Regeringsgatan, the focus is on quality and flavours from all corners of Asia. The immensely popular Asian Post Office interprets Asian flavours, and has become famous for its legendary cocktail made with Thai basil and coconut. The environment is cosy and relaxed, perfect for a date as well as a post-work drink or dinner with a group of friends.

Inspired by 1960s luxury, together with influences from Rio de Janeiro and Havana, the environment at the popular Coquetel Social is buzzy, joyful and fabulous. Head to this cocktail bar, in the middle of Stureplan, next door to Spy Bar nightclub, for a post-work drink with friends, or for an aperitif on your way out into Stockholm's nightlife. In addition to classic cocktails, you can order snacks and medium-sized dishes well into the small hours.

The former library in Medborgarhuset is now home to bars, a restaurant, and a live stage across three floors. Enjoy drinks in the award-winning cocktail bar, which has beautifully preserved 1930s architecture with Art Deco interiors and plants.

Expect flavours and ingredients such Japanese gin, sake, yuzu, oolong and sesame in the cocktails here. Choose from sweet, spicy, sour and bitter tones and complement them with some Asian-American bistro-style sharing plates.
