Friekosör

Lena Jansson, the founder of Friekosör, has many years of experience as a hairdresser and has developed a technique for colouring hair with herbs and bleaching with clay and salts. Along with her daughter Frida she's been running this organic salon on Bastugatan, one of Södermalm's first salons, since 2001.

Friekosör consists of a small team of hair stylists who offer classic hair cuts and colour, among other treatments - but with the major difference that everything is done organically. Lena and Frida work with 100% plant-based products. They're ambitious and hope to inspire the hairdressing branch to choose more environmentally-friendly alternatives, for the sake of their clients but also the hairdressers themselves. Friekosör provide a toxin-free environment for everyone who works at and visits the salon

In addition to hair treatments you can also buy products from the salon's organic range. Lena and Frida have even launched their own natural haircare range, HerbHubSweden, developed with chemists. HerbHubSweden provides everything a hairdresser needs to work in a plant-based way and to pave the way for a healthy scalp. Products include everything from hairbrushes to shampoo and conditioner and various styling products.
