Ellery Beach House is a hotel, restaurant and bar on Elfviks Udde, Lidingö in Stockholm.

Pleasantly surprised by Ellery. Think they managed to create a wonderful feeling abroad, feels a bit like a more luxurious resort. Nice that there is also access to swimming in the sea and sauna, which still gives you a Swedish vibe.
The food was good but varied. One dish was shrimp in some kind of custard? No one in the party appreciated it, very strange. Other dishes were good! However, nothing particularly memorable, no "wow", but good.
Overall, a very good visit! Will be happy to return. It will be a 4 to get up to 5 had the food needed to be improved.

Nice spa out on Lidingö, right by the water. Love the 20th century style of décor! More focus on parties and swimming than relaxation and perhaps suits a happy girl group more than a romantic date. A minus is a very small changing room with only tvp showers, so when we were there last time there was a long queue to have time to shower. I also thought it was a bit cold in the pools..

Booked their opening offer and included spa, dinner, breakfast and deluxe rooms.
Starts with the room which is really nice with cozy décor. Sick big bed, "kill guessing" that it is at least 2 m wide. A little cold roof that is only polished concrete but belongs to the style. It is noticeable that everything is new and there are some tiles missing in the ceiling, masking tape remains in some places and everything is not screwed. It belongs to a newly opened place!
After we had left our bags in the room we went to the spa. This is located on the right down the stairs next to the reception named Coco Beach house. Sizzling name! Once there, you are welcomed in a spa reception and given towels and a small tour. Very service-minded staff in the spa! There are 4 swimming pools and 2 saunas. A dip in all the pools was, also quickly in and quickly out of the sea down by the pier. The sauna down by the jetty was not open.
The outdoor pool adjacent to the sauna is a bit secluded and not everyone seemed to discover this pool. That's where we spent the most time! Also the indoor pool is cozy but there was a lot of people. How that haver, sick cozy "oases" where you really relax.
Due to probably the hotel's last dinner time (21:30) we drove some snacks and drinks in the poolside bar. Sweet potato fries with Majo. Sounds very good and was incredibly scrumptious! Possibly a little strange solution to run mayon on the fries from the beginning..
In the end, the clock was around 9 pm and the hands were proper raisins after 4h of splashing in pools and marathon sauna sessions. Then it was time for dinner! I was damn hungry and told you early that we'd be happy to get the food in as soon as possible. Unfortunately, this information seemed to escape everyone and after 30 minutes they take the order for drinks. If this hadn't been prepaid, I would probably have left the restaurant at this stage. Rescued by an incredibly nice kid who took our order and picked up pita bread with dip immediately. I guess he saw my hungry look right!
The appetizer was a burrata with pickled tomatoes? Unsure of this but it was not very good. Not at all fresh and soft as I want it! In addition, it was quite strong which was not at all a pleasant surprise.
For the main course, I was clumsy enough to try to order something other than grilled cabbage. Because who really wants to eat grilled cabbage as the only vegetarian dish? Of course, we also ordered it stupidly enough and in we got as special grilled Jerusalem artichoke with about the same accessories. It was good but a bit too earthy and my company unfortunately had to spit out a bit because of just this. When you notice that it is bitter and stale then it feels no good! Grilled cabbage was exactly as dull as it sounds. The reason why it was sick stupid to order a special was because the food came after 1h..
So now it's north of 11 pm and we just want to go to bed really. Then the dessert comes in. Chocolate cake with ice cream and crunch and yogurt sorbet. The chocolate dessert was terrible good but the yogurt was like the frozen man throwing together a stressful Tuesday morning at home!
In conclusion, the service was damn mixed and mostly stressed. Staff in a hurry in the restaurant contribute to a rather dull environment. I guess they need a few months as the run-in period so everything sits better. Overall, everyone wanted well but everything took far too long. Stockholm has set a certain standard and unfortunately we felt that they did not achieve this.
Back in the room I passed out right away and slept amazingly. Their beds seemed to many consider good when it was heard during breakfast that many slept well. Regarding breakfast, it is hardly worth a review for fyfan what it was. Everything was cold or exhausted and tasted nothing. Since we only eat the vegetarian, I dare not speak about the meat, but the scrambled eggs were at room temperature. American pancakes looked like flat falukorv someone sat on for 2 h. Disastrously bad. Tasteless and just chaos was the breakfast. There is no clear way to pick the food so the queue was formed.
We therefore walked away from breakfast quite quickly and went to the spa again. Absolutely amazing to have almost the whole spa to ourselves throughout the morning.
In conclusion, we think that the service and spa was fantastic and really a serious challenger to Yasuragi. Food-wise it was very bad and the only memory of taste and experience was sweet potato fries at the bar. We will be happy to return in a few months to hope to experience a more complete stay. I feel great potential instead and it breathes development opportunities. Really think you should go there and try! This is going to be a strong four or five after visit number 2. Gold star for you fighters who could read all the way. Have them good!

The review only applies to the food (hotel in general). 👌
We ordered three-course. Everything was good, except that I ordered three very sour dishes myself. So maybe I have to blame myself, but it was really beyond expectations!
Rarely eat steak tartare as it's not really my thing, but the day in honor I brought in their steak tartare on calf! And I get the thing. It was very tasty with balanced flavors. Fun with pickled celery!
Then I brought in the cod and it was perfectly cooked. Minus for the amount of walnuts that came along.
For dessert, I took mango sorbet that went incredibly well with the hot summer day.

Stockholm's only Beach club! As close to Miami as we can get! It's a bit their sales ploy and yes, it's probably pretty true and works too!
It's stylish, fresh, stylish! We were here at the day spa and then the spa was included for 5.5 hours plus lunch. However, lunch was 2.30pm - which meant we got the food at 3.00pm. Far too late and since there are several places where you can eat with a bathrobe and bathrobe on, it should have been served earlier so that you could continue bathing afterwards! The food wasn't super tasty either — which is what drags the rating down.
BUT!
The place is amazing! You can go down to the jetty and swim in the sea and sit for a while in the sauna down there. Otherwise, there is a pool bar, several heated pools outdoors, warm pools indoors, a lounge with large sunbeds in front of an open fire where it must be super cozy to sit in the autumn and a nice bar!
Before, I thought "how are we going to want to make love in a pool for over 5 hours?". But oh wow... I could have stayed 5 more hours! We sunbathed, bathed and just enjoyed the view and the warm water. It was so relaxed, cozy and I could really relax and disconnect from everyday life.
Will definitely go back! Fingers crossed that they improve the food!

Exceeded my very high expectations. Very nice welcoming, the premises (everything from lobby, restaurant, spa, room) were outstanding. Unfortunately, we did not maximize the spa stay's different rooms (the only thing that was missing was that we did not get any further guidance of what was in the spa) but ended up at the sauna and the pool that was there. Was still relatively crowded and was difficult to catch a lovely large rest bed, but it also made us find those who were at the bar. This was a great contrast to how I otherwise experience spas where you could relax in large beds, drink a drink and at the same time listen to party music. Was extremely lovely, actually. If you want the contrast, there are corresponding beds inside a room with an open fire, and completely silent. Food and drink were good, and what to expect from such a place. Wasn't blown away but it was good. Even breakfast was very good. Can't wait to visit again when they're a little warmer and really get to feel more about the concept of beach club.

Thus!! Incredible for a couple weekend, we were 2 couples - more party than spa atmosphere so feel free to go here more than 2. We drove overnight stays and then we bought a pool bed for 2000 that you had to consume. Incredibly worthwhile! You would have felt otherwise that you weren't completely "done".
The food was also above all expectations - since we were 4, we still managed to test a lot and everyone was very happy. In hotels, I usually do not expect top-class food, but this was incredibly good and very nicely presented. Super good at meeting lactose-free wishes too - a place that fixes some substitute of its own accord instead of having to ask for it yourself.
Then last but not least: the service - INCREDIBLE. All of the ones we didn't get involved with were fun, comfying and nice and really made a lot of the stay. The two waiters that we had at our table were magical, beautiful, pleasant and their interaction was also a joy to witness.
Simply couldn't be more satisfied and a great start to the holiday.
