The Museum of Spirits in Djurgården tells the history of alcohol in Sweden and examines the Swedes' somewhat complicated relationship to wine, beer and spirits. The museum includes the Absolut Art Collection, with works from well-known artists including Keith Haring. The museum also arranges drinks tastings and other events and boasts an award-winning restaurant.

Along with an extensive collection of wine and spirits-related bottles, labels, photographs and objects going back to the 19th century, the museum holds various temporary exhibitions. Stop off for something to eat and drink at the restaurant; during the summer months you can eat al fresco on the waterfront.

Reviews of Spritmuseum

I assumed this was a museum about ghosts and was clearly wrong. It wasn’t really my area of interest but the exhibitions were set up in a very cool way and felt really immersive. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone in to creating the museum and making it engaging for visitors.
