During the restaurant week we took the time to book a table here and try two dishes for 300kr. it was not difficult to get a table here. The restaurant is located in the middle of the tourist street Västerlånggatan in the old town and already here you should have imagined that the quality of the food would be like that.
We took a starter to share and chose the herring platter, which was surprising good with fun flavours. Whiskeysmöret to the bread was also a fun touch.
To the main course we took both steak Rydberg which would be sprayed with Ardbeh. This meal was disappointing. The meat was supertough and almost oätbart. The whiskey added nothing to the dish besides a strange taint (I really like whiskey and Ardbergs whiskeys are one of my favorites).
For dessert we shared a Ardbeg Whiskeyspetsad mocca and chocolate ice cream with Kolaknäcke and roasted pistachio and almonds. The dessert felt a bit too much. Too much different elements that all soaked in whiskey.
The service itself was okay, we had a table at the top of the corner and every time to another forgotten even though the dining room was half.
I wouldn't go here and eat again but Bardelen looked nice out and the range of whiskey great for the interested.
