Åh BASTA! Älskar att gå hit, älskar att beställa in massa göttiga smågrejer till bordet, älskar lemonaden, viben, och att få sitta på en rooftop mitt i stan som känns så långt ifrån innerstadshetsen fast man bara är ovanför den.

Dinner yesterday with the best Emma & Tessan, at the Italian restaurant Basta, at the top of Åhléns City Stockholm. 🇮🇹🍝🍕🍨 Big cozy room with Italian vibes. Really good Italian menu. Had dinner here on a Wednesday evening, was quickly received by the head waiter and got a seat at the back of the restaurant as I had asked for a seat where it is a little quieter when I booked a table. The restaurant is located at the top of the Åhléns building and they have a roof terrace there that is open in the summer (I have to go there then!!)

It was a three-course meal so for starters we had their carpaccio and macaroncini. It was good but the macaroncini wasn't that fun, felt doughy and the macaroni was overcooked so it was almost just a batter of everything 😅

For the main course we had their paradiso pollo and truffle pasta. And damn they were so good, creamy, flavorful, the pasta was not al dente which I like as I can think they get too hard sometimes. It was perfectly cooked!

For dessert we had tiramisu and lemon sundae. The tiramisu was really good, a lot of coffee in it and good zabaionn cream. It's rare that I'm satisfied with tiramisu at restaurants so I was really happy that it was so good! Lemon sundae, such a cool arrangement! A twist of lemon meringue pie with lemon sorbet, creamy lemon filling and biscuits in the bottom. Incredibly tasty! 😍

Been here twice now and been just as happy with both visits! I think the environment is very lovely even though I think they should skip the plastic details in the interior, like the lemons and plastic charcuterie that hangs by the kitchen. It makes it look a little less genuine, I think the rest of the décor is so beautiful! Love the outdoor seating, nice tables and sunbaths and beautiful cushions and parasols. It's fun to have a place that dares to go all in on the décor. Last time I was here I had a truffle pizza with whipped ricotta that was incredibly good! I think their pizzas are very good. Bellinin is incredible too! I also think the service is good. It's not a place I would book a table to go out and eat but it's great as a Friday lunch place on a summer day on the outdoor terrace!

Me and my brother had dinner at Basta on Tuesday. The restaurant was pretty much full which is always nice. The room is nice with an open kitchen. Nice porcelain!! I think the service was a bit so so, not great. The staff was absolutely not rude but felt like no one really had control of the situation.

We started by sharing a tuna tartare and a carpaccio. We both thought carpaccio was the best! Then we shared a truffle pasta and a seafood pasta. The pasta was very good, a bit al dente which I love! The truffle taste was good and clear. The seafood pasta was also good but tasted mostly tomato sauce unfortunately. We finished the dinner with a Black Mamba and a Lemon Sundae. Black Mamba was too sweet for my taste but if you take a pastry with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce you have only yourself to blame, haha. But Sundae was really good and fresh!

I rate it 3/5. I can definitely see myself going back this summer and having a drink on the roof terrace or a pasta!!

Besökte Basta en lördag och betyget slutar på 3/5. Helt okej, maten var absolut god men inget speciellt. Gillar inredningen och det är väldigt trevligt att dem har öppet kök. Kul som gäst att kunna se vad kockarna lagar. Till förrätt tog vi en charkbricka att dela på. Riktigt najs tillbehör och goda ostar. Varmrätt blev tryffel pastan och raviolin. Om du är tryffel älskare ta pastan! Riktigt bra tryffelsmak och gott med marconamandlar på för chrunch. Blev förvånansvärt överraskad. Stämningen var väldigt bra, bra musik som varken var för hög eller låg. Personalen var väldigt bemötande och trevliga. Ett minus var att vi fick varm öl men de fixade dem när vi sade till.👍🏼 Till efterrätt delade vi på deras tiramisu och pistage panacotta. Lite väl mycket grädde för min smak men goda. Gick härifrån mätt och belåten.

En otrolig fin lokal! En av de finaste restaurangerna jag har varit i. Dock det känns att man betalar för stämning mer än maten. Maten smakade helt okej och kunde ha smakat bättre. Portioner var lagom stora. Om man vill känna av fina lokalen rekommenderar jag att gå dit. Men om man vill äta riktig italiensk mat är Basta kanske inte första valet.
