If the weather allows, it is a fantastic idea to take the ferry from Skeppsbron or Slussen out to Fjäderholmarna to enjoy good food in the archipelago.
I have eaten here several times and the service has been very varied. One of the time we were a big bunch who would celebrate midsummer out on the island and dine at the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. Another time I was basically myself with my company and we hardly got any service at all despite the abundance of staff that ran around. The food, however, has always been great.
Because it is in the archipelago, they are very focused on fish and shellfish which they do fantastically well. Prices may be a little on the top, but they do not directly have a competitor except Smokehouse next door (which may be the same owner).
This place is the top for a day trip. Plus, if you are a bit clever to plan, you can book a table so you don't have to wait, as it is jam-packed here in the summer months. This place is highly recommended for tourists, so in the summer, it will be pilgrimage here if the weather permits. If you have the luxury of having access to your own boat you can get here for your own machine, there are quite a lot of moorings on the quay. Once you have sat in the restaurant, these boats will moor sometimes a part of the entertainment, as not everyone who comes with their own boat is accustomed to add.
If you have visits from abroad and want to show them a little archipelago but do not have time to get out long, this is at perfect distance. My tip is to try their cod or bleak roe toast!
