Review of Kale & Crave Roslagsgatan – by Charlotte A.

This is probably my toughest review so far and I am both divided and fond at the same time. Do a little evil to have to put such low scores...
Have been waiting to go here then I wanted to collect as many tips as possible about what I would test and after they scooped "this year's Casual" the other day I could no longer keep myself from there. Firstly, the room is way too stripped for my taste, I got a little bit of panic as soon as I stepped in when I saw that it was stuffed with people and the sound volume high. There were no soft materials that could take up the sound and I got the impression that the room "wanted me to put me there and go as soon as I could". But, I chose to max out my music, shut me out from the outside world and put me in their downstairs while waiting for the food.
Sick fast service and they really lived up to the "fast food" concept and nice were them too. Impressive to keep your head high with that press. As for prices, it keeps the Stockholm standard and you have to pay around 120-150kr for a lunch, like this in retrospect, I think it is fair considering how measured I was. The concept is exciting with international-touch and if you are hungry for Swedish Husman, this is not the place for you. Frikadeller, salads, curry, superfoods such as quinoa, kale, nuts and almost everything topped with parmesan.
I chose their "Farm" (129KR) consisting of Nötfrikadell, tomato sauce, black husked rice, kale, parmesan, walnut and some beetroot and a piece of artichoke. Frikadellerna, magically soft and melted in the mouth and perfect for the tart tomato sauce. Råriset had some white cream in itself and pulp Parmesan and at first it tasted good (maybe it was the temperature?) but grew in the mouth after a while and I was feeling sick of just the thought of eating more. The remaining components on the plate did not lift or lower the The dish, the VA neat but no more is so. The overall impression, and to tie it to "fond", is that it was a fun and different way to eat this type of food on and I understand why they won for just casual. Usually hälsomat tend to be more clean, boring and unilateral but they have really taken it to a new level and I love it. But I'm not completely sold... Maybe it was my expectations that were too high or my bad feeling over law. At the moment I put a 3rd to soon come back and try their salad that looked deliiiish out. Returns!

Brought their kale salad with shrimp 135kr at lunch today. And I remain at my 3rd... Had hoped to raise the grade when they were praised but I am not saved. Absolutely, it tasted good but was way too little food for that money and I was still hungry when I was done. Very creamy, good with the nuts but not much more than that. Were to be potatoes with, almost non-existent. Still think it's worth to try, maybe I have exorbitant requirements haha but this is my category, I know how I want my fresh and green.
