How do you get a table? This restaurant is said to be booked up three months ahead? How they release dates and in intervals I have not got any idea about but booked it is.... One idea that I managed to get is to the spontaneous, it seems to drop some tables on the same day so in and check out the table booking. Another tip is to call x several it takes a long time before they respond.
Gränsfall a little difficult to find to the restaurant and maybe not exactly in Södermalm's nicest place but the restaurant itself feels lavish and cozy. Almost a little living room feeling. Very lit candles and large lamps, industrial. One thing that strikes me that they have no bar! and the courtier's seat is like a good distance into the restaurant and not right at the entrance. If you have booked a table and arrive a little early, you cannot wait in the bar and have to wait in the lock that is between the restaurant and outdoors or completely wait outdoors.... Feels just right B.
We ran on a classic three course to test different parts of the menu. Initially Burrata in Bianco a starter divided into two people. For a long time I have been on the lookout for Stockholm's best burrata and this one is really good! Can probably stretch me that it is the best I have eaten in a restaurant (but the hunt continues). However, the dish totally falls on its accessories..... The jam bulbs are good but there were like 5 small and about the same number of small crostini pieces (rock hard). Finally, you only have burrata left, would like maybe some tomatoes and maybe salad, etc. to weigh up. Skimpy with accessories for two people. The burrata itself clearly 5 stars but the dish as whole only 3. The main courses - I had checked out the lobster-filled ravioli in advance but it was not available this evening but as a replacement they had brought in a truffle-filled ravioli. No, it wasn't good. The pasta dough was far too thick barely tasted truffles and was a total disappointment. Also tested the hung ox file with potato gratin. The meat was not at all good felt like they were fried on too low heat and lacked surface area. The potato gratin was good and had thinly mandolined potatoes in it so that you could see in the cut-through thin layers. Neat! The accessories are all right. Something that stands out on this menu is the desserts, a section I often feel is completely forgotten in restaurants. Took a Petole and it was good, but everyone likes fried dough, right? The mascarpone cream was a hit! The chocolate fondant also felt like a must try perfectly okay but the vanilla ice cream felt cheap.
The wine list has only three red wines that you can buy by glass, one of which is their own. Incidentally, they feel cheap to buy a bottle of wine in this place. There are several to choose from between 500-600 SEK. The sitting time you get is about 2h which can be perceived as short when booking but they pump out the food quickly almost a little too fast. The staff is nice. I'll give you the check in a black box with gold bullets on it. Well, it's not that exciting to pay.
Am I going to come here again? No, not in the first place. However, could recommend ordering a bottle of wine and all desserts to hang out with a friend you haven't met in a long time.
