One of my best food experiences ever.
Love how the staff greets us already at the entrance and makes sure that we get a fantastic food journey from the entrance on to the bar then through the kitchen and finally to the dining room. We eat works of art in the form of a butterfly, flowers, mushrooms and ice cream. Drinking delicious wines mixed with cocktails and sake. All staff are super nice and feel relaxed and take time for all our questions about food and wine. Extra fun that Jonas serves us large parts of the evening and is incredibly nice. I am also surprised by a small cake when it's my birthday. Can't think of a better evening.

Vad ger man till en person i julklapp som inte önskar sig något? Mat! Och inte vilken mat som helst, en jäkligt trevlig restaurangupplevelse.

Veckorna innan jul erbjöd Etoile en Winter Menue som var en mindre version av deras ordinarie avsmakningsmeny och serverades i deras så kallade testkök, en bardisk med insyn över köket. Vi satt alltså inte i den vanliga matsalen. Menyn bestod av 13 rätter, men så slängde de in några extra, så vi hamnade nog på strax under 20 rätter inklusive dessert och fika. Den ordinarie menyn kostar 2400 kr, medan denna låg på 1800 kr.

Jag och mitt sällskap var mycket imponerade över maten. På många finkrogar ser du ofta samma smakkomponenter, och det är väl egentligen inte så konstigt - varför rubba på ett vinnande koncept? Det såg vi även här på Etoile, men även massa nya, unika smaker som fick smaklökarna att hajja till. Exempelvis åt vi en vitfisk i saffranssmörsås som var helt otrolig och verkligen unik.

Denna kväll valde vi vinpaketet som även det låg på 800 kr istället för ordinarie 1600 kr; självklart var det då mindre dryck. Dessvärre var jag inte jätteimponerad över vinerna, inget fel på dem - men inget som blow me away.

Jag besöker jätte gärna Etoile en gång till, för jag är riktigt nyfiken på de andra rätterna.
