I booked Paganini for a family dinner on a Saturday evening. I've been here before, but it was several years ago. My good impression from then did that I chose to book it again. I like Paganini, it's cozy and the Italian feeling is fast. The location in the old town also raises the cosiness and if you are a sucker for white and red checkered tablecloths, candlelight and Italian food you have found the right one.
Paganini makes many right and the menu has a range that should appeal to most people. This evening I ate lobster-filled pasta dumplings to the main course – good, but not quite satisfying when the portion was not very large. Luckily, we had ordered a cheese and chark tray before the meal. Food and drinks are tasty here, but the Aperolen I ordered in as an aperitif fell to me not entirely to the taste (a bit too watery and non-bubbly, Eataly serves Taughtsman). The service during the evening was okay, but no more. We had to wait a little too long to order and everyone was really hungry when the Chark washer well came in on the table. The bread basket did not come in until the Chark washer arrived, the basket should have come in immediately when we sat, or at least when the drink was served. There was a lot of people at the restaurant when it was Saturday, so I can imagine that the service is a bit sharper during other quieter evenings.
I will go back here, but it may take a while. Stockholm now has a large selection of Italian restaurants, so competition has become tougher. The location in the old town makes of course that many tourists find here, so a little tourist trap in terms of prices can be reckoned with.

Great food and excellent service. As a stockholmer, you are unfortunately easily skeptical about places in the old town you have not heard so much about.
I was here a Friday evening with a large company which made the room perhaps felt extra loud. Everyone seemed satisfied besides someone who took a piece.
I ate panzotti filled with buffelricotta, topped with melted butter and truffles. Really good!
Bright third all in all.

Cozy Italians, feels a bit like if you are abroad, probably because it is in the middle of the old town and you are surrounded by tourists. Good pasta and pizza, but nothing revolutionary!
Slightly worse than many others by the Italians. The dishes were pretty flat and no real taste. But central location, price, friendly and helpful staff!
