An oasis in the middle of one of Stockholm's largest and most visited parks! That I didn't discover this incredible place until the summer of 2018. What I didn't know before was that Boulebar was an accomplished à la carte restaurant with a well-worked menu and an excellent bar. Here you will meet regulars, tourists and friends who want to catch the summer. Boules are the activity that suits everyone, old and young. Once in place, one of Boulebar's knowledgeable guides went through the rules with me and my girlfriends and even came and cheered us up during the game.
It's a hot summer's day and I order a light layer. Our waitress asks me if I don't want a wheat beer instead, she describes it as a "summer beer on tap". How can I say no? I soon after get a Kronebourg 1664 in my hand and wow, how could I have missed this? Since then, wheat beer and Aperol Spritz have been fighting for first place as the best summer drink.
It serves delights from southern French cuisine such as moules mariniere, bouillabaisse and always today's plat du jour (dish of the day). Bouelbar offers a full three-course menu and I who tend to be satisfied after the main course here could not resist their dessert menu. Here you will find everything from crème bruleé, chocolate truffles and French cheeses.
Boulebar is really for everyone - even dogs! There's a lot of dogs here. A lot of them are regulars, others are here for the first time. For these little furry friends, dog ice cream from Hugo & Celine is served.
Excuses for some bad pictures.

Lite dyrt i bland.

Clearly one of Kungsholmen's best outdoor cafés. To be a seasonal restaurant, I think food keeps a good level (clearly better than the neighbor Mälarpaviljongen).
I think that Boule is the perfect place to hang! They always find something new and fun. Everyone in the staff are incredibly friendly and do everything to provide service! Can really recommend both summer places like Rålis and Tanto but the printing house in Liljeholmen really feels like France! There is no better place to go with family and friends, especially if someone is competitive because then the guides can give tips and cheer!

French Park hanging with pétanque and pastis-type on video! This place has really got a considerable boost in the past year, both in terms of the environment and the staff. French vibes on Boulebars own way, mumma!

On short: avoid working there as there are plenty of other alternatives with more decent management and working conditions, as well as better pay.
- no support for situations where staff is harassed by clients or by other colleagues
- they tolerate racist, xenophobic and homophobic comments and behavior
- no possibility of negotiating better contracts for most of the staff
- terrible management who takes advantage of the 0-hours contracts and abuses them even in cases where employees have been working there for years, without a more stable form of employment
- lower pay compared to the standard in the industry and there is no transparency concerning possibilities of advancement (because most often there are none)
- same persons with same experience are offered different rates per hour and it's usually a warning sign for the manager if you try to negotiate, as this often affects the amount of shifts you will receive
- received state support but it is unclear how they met the criteria
- management is virtually non-existent and their restaurants are understaffed, hence poor quality service, food and overall bad experiences from both former/current employees and costumers
- managers are blatantly racist and you will not really find any "diversity" apart from one or two "token" persons employed especially to seem that they fill a "quota"
- management always try to throw the blame on something (corona) or someone else for their own actions' consequences
- most of the staff in precarious positions (on-demand contracts) have foreign background, as a way to ensure that these people can be further abused and presumably lack the knowledge of basic rights, such as the one to unionize and demand better working conditions
- because most of the staff is overworked and works in poorly designed work spaces, and also because of the way managers mishandle any type of communication (by frequently lying to their employees), the rate of people just coming and quitting is quite high
- management is used to act without thinking of the legal consequences, see for example building without a building permit: https://www.mitti.se/nyheter/boulebar-kan-tvingas-riva-nybyggd-del/reptek!tNlOnb5mjzRxWXCPCPK7rA/
- they rely on companies to make the biggest share of the sales and since the companies pay for large groups, the food quality does not really matter for the individuals, as long as the company pays anyways; most of the negative reviews you will find out there are from smaller groups that really expect quality and taste for the moderately high prices they pay from their own pockets; unfortunately, the food is often tasteless and prepared in poor and sometimes unsanitary conditions
- the management has no problem in delaying salaries in certain cases, or dismissing any initiatives or improvements coming from their employees
- they usually prefer individual meetings as they can easily further lie and keep the employees from talking to each other about the serious problems related to working conditions
