Review of Smådalarö Gård Hotell & Spa – by Adam L.

Smådalarö Gård has become fantastic since the extensive renovation this summer. The restaurant itself is not really five out of five, but it is very good for what it is (far outside the city etc). A bit the same with the spa, there are things to remark on (come back to that), but given the lousy competition in Stockholm, I keep it at its best in town. It is possibly grand hotel that can measure up, but I still keep Smådalarö higher. So how can I give anything other than a full pot if it's Stockholm's best spa?
It really is super nice. Both the location and the environment/ interior. Several nice pools, both indoors and outdoors. When we were there, there weren't a lot of people at all, I don't know what it's like normally. They have both a nice steam room and a regular one. What I missed was either a higher temperature in some pool, or a smaller cup that is really hot. Now all four pools were a little lukewarm. Lukewarm might have been to take in, it would have been a disaster, but they would have needed a few more degrees, at least in some of them.
I had a classic massage and it was very professional. Nice treatment rooms, nice relaxing music and lovely scents. The masseur was friendly and good, but could have been another level better. 4 out of 5 get it.
Guaranteed to be back in the future.
