First of all, fun concept! Stockholm has awesome fusion with Thai, China, Japan and others, but has lacked an ambitious Indian fusion. Restaurateur Jonas Svensson is also behind Miss Voon. Thus, my expectations were also high!
I probably tried almost ten dishes and everything was good, there was not a single dish I didn't like. Some a little extra good, some a little more plain. Nice presentations. If I'm going to be harsh, maybe I would have liked some or preferably some dishes that really floor you. Definitely haven't eaten better Indian though. The service was clearly approved.
It was barely half full when we were there, a Friday at 19.30. Of course, it detracts from the overall feeling unfortunately. I think the people of Stockholm are demanding a little more than this. The interior is more or less old Vassa Eggen. Possibly they have replaced tables, chairs and some details, but it really feels like sitting on Vassa again. It doesn't bother me so much, I liked Vassa. But I think people think it feels less exciting. I have heard many people who have been there mention it. Then you would have had to floor the food instead, which we didn't really do (even though everything was fine).
All in all. Great place, lovely concept. If you can raise the level another half notch on the food and fill up with guests, it can be a success!
