Grekiska Grill & Bar, which has various branches around Stockholm and beyond, transports your tastebuds to the Mediterranean. Fill your table with both souvlaki (grilled meat on skewers) and other dishes from the Greek islands. They serve Greek grilled dishes for meat eaters, pescetarians and vegetarians alike.

Amida Kolgrill is many Stockholmers' favourite grill restaurant. They're famous for their charcoal-grilled döner, wraps, köfte, mixed grill and vegetarian dishes. Hungry Södermalm residents flock here to satisfy their cravings for a kebab plate or roll when they need one most.

Visit The Meat, right by Central station, and embark on a gastronomic journey to South America. They serve both meat dishes and cocktails with South American flavours. The menu includes grilled dishes such as rib eye and bbq ribs, served with various sauces and sides. 

Chingu was started by three friends who missed really good Korean BBQ in Stockholm, and the result is a sociable, out-of-the-ordinary barbeque experience. Top quality meat is grilled at the table and enjoyed with carefully selected side dishes. Order a full set menu for at least two people, or choose freely from the restaurant's à la carte menu.

Kanon on Tjärhovsplan is run by the owners of the former A Bowl & Plates. They focus on grilled dishes with flavours from the Middle East, the Mediterranean, and South America, alongside wine, sparkling drinks, cocktails, and fresh beer from Plzeň. At the weekend, the volume turns up several notches.

This izakaya serves grilled skewers combined with small plates and Asian drinks. The chef duo who run Miyakodori take inspiration from Japanese culinary traditions and techniques. Weekends have a fun party vibe, but it's always sociable and buzzy here. Drinks include sake and other Asian drinks.

Solen takes their inspiration from sunny food meccas such as Tel Aviv, Naples, Santa Fe and Oaxaca and has created a lively menu full of charcoal-grilled and smoked dishes. An open fire crackles in the middle of the room and the restaurant's furniture revolves around it like a solar system. Anyone who loves food, culture and socialising can meet here for a sun-drenched gastronomic journey from well-known chef duo Adam Dahlberg and Albin Wessman.

This Japanese grill bar on Rörstrandsgatan works with the robatayaki grill technique, where food is grilled on skewers over charcoal embers. Just take a seat and share a selection of small dishes around the table - the menu includes everything from short ribs to tuna tataki and grilled tofu.

Steninge Bruk is housed in a beautiful old converted stone barn half an hour outside the city, and it boasts one of Sweden's largest indoor grills. Their brunch buffet, with food served straight from the grill, makes a lovely weekend outing and you can combine your meal with a walk in the picturesque castle surroundings.

Mexican bistro Yono Sabo serves generous portions of bowls, tacos, burritos, burgers, and other street food-style dishes. The menu also features tasty meat in various forms, kissed by the grill for added flavour. A relaxed restaurant for after work drinks or dinner with friends or colleagues.

Ever since K-Amed first conquered Södermalm and later Kungsholmen, diners have been able to enjoy authentic shish kebab grilled over an aromatic bed of wood charcoal that has its origins in present-day southeastern Turkey, in the city of Diyarbakir. They follow the philosophy of offering good food, great service, and fair prices.

With some 400 covers, Pong Lindhagen is one of the city's largest restaurants and you can grill your own food here at modern BBQ tables, Korean-style. You buy a basic package of rice, kimchi and sauces and then choose from various ingredients including salmon, vegetables and meat.

If you're in the mood for proper Persian food, Tehran Grill is the place to go. You'll find a range of grilled skewers on the menu, and the authentic atmosphere and decor are also a big part of the experience. Both of their branches, one in Södermalm and one in Vasastan, suit everyone from romantic dinners à deux to large meals with family or friends.
