At Djurönäset they know exactly how to stimulate creativity, productivity and wellbeing among their guests. This 4-star hotel and conference facility can provide an enjoyable, relaxing stay as well as an activity-packed visit in the great outdoors. And best of all? It's just 45 minutes from Stockholm city centre.

Djurönäset consists of eight architect-designed buildings beautifully scattered out across a stunning archipelago island. They host meetings, conferences and training courses, as well as weddings, anniversaries and other special events. With some 274 rooms, they can accommodate up to 550 people. The hotel has a great reputation for service and flexible staff and in 2007 when it was renovated all the rooms were redecorated witth blonde wood elements and granite shelves, and given free internet access and beds from Carpe Diem. All the rooms and their colour palettes are inspired by the archipelago views from your window - natural Nordic tones.

If the view from the island's rocky heights, of passing boats on rolling waves, doesn't satisfy the most energetic of guests, there are plenty of activities to choose from. In the summer months there's football, volleyball, tennis, boules, sailing or a kayak tour around the entire island. When autumn draws in, there's a floodlit exercise track and all year round you can use the gym, a 15 metre long pool with a pool bar, a yoga room and a wood-fired sauna with a jetty and bathing ladder. The icing on the cake is the hotel's own spa in a separate builiding opposite the main entrance, where you can enjoy a body peel, facial or luxurious spa bath.

The sea air and all that activity can give you a serious appetite. At Djurönäset they have two restaurants; the hotel's own restaurant with panoramic views over the archipelago and the relaxed waterfront bistro Sjöboden, open during the summer months. Both restaurants serve seasonal menus created from locally-produced ingredients with Nordic flavours. You can hire Sjöboden for a crayfish party, 50th birthday party or a wedding. If you're a wine enthusiast, you can book a wine tasting and the sommelier will guide you through selected wines from Djurönäset's own 19th century wine cellar.

Lunches at Djurönäset are served buffet-style, with fish, meat and vegetarian options as well as a fantastic salad buffet. There's also soup and freshly baked bread every day.

It's also worth mentioning that Djurönäset has several certifications, including the Swan ecolabel, which is one of the leading environmental certifications in the world, and the Safe Hotels Alliance which is an international certification organisation for hotel and conference safety. Djurönäset is also one of around 100 facilities in Sweden selected by Svenska Meetings.

I was here for morning spa + brunch, and I'm so happy!

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Stockholm, this is perfect, takes about 45 minutes and you really get out to a calm!

If you look at the whole, Djurönäset will get a fima of me. I was right there and we have been there before, would say that it is my and my snubbes first choice if we want to leave town for a day.

Have visited Djurönäset several times, often in a conference context. The food has been really good. The spa area with sauna, outdoor pool, etc. are really nice spaces.

Absolutely the worst spa experience we've had. Queue for check-in, queue for sauna/pool (2 hours waiting for there to be space). No thought whatsoever about restrictions, unfresh water in the infinity pool. Total chaos with children running everywhere and taking up the entire pool for water pla...

We booked their after work package for 2000 SEK. Then included overnight stay, Á la carte dinner, breakfast and access to sauna /spa. Compared to, for example, Yasuragi, which costs 3500, djurönäset feels more affordable. The resort breathes a bit of barrack / conference but it is w...

The boathouse. Is a disaster.

Lobster & shrimp roll!! It was inedible. A plain dry sausage bun with a dollop of completely inedible type of Skagen mix. And a completely dead lettuce...... You've got to be kidding.

Very good experience from Djurönäset.
Be there a Sunday to Monday. The dinner consisted of three-course. For starter, I took Carpaccio. A little tasteless maybe but still approved. The main course that was sirloin steak was cut to smithereens. Perfectly fried and Jerusalem artichoke pu...

Catastrophe, don't go there. Bought a weekend as a wedding gift this weekend 12/9-13/9-20, the room was not cleaned, the armchair was broken. The dinner was changed to a later time without asking and I had booked 2 months in advance. At 22.15 only one main course had been served so my daughter...
